Designed for people who require two inputs with little fuss, the Saramonic SmartRig+UC is an interface with a USB Type-C connection for compatible devices, such as computers, tablets, and smartphones. Inputs through two combination inputs outfitted for both XLR or 1/4" connections as well as two 3.5mm inputs for line-level sources are provided.
Two accessible gain knobs control the levels of each input. A mono/stereo switch controls the mode of operation, while a REC/PLAY switch is on hand to determine if you're in recording or playback mode. Monitoring is accomplished by means of the 3.5mm headphone output. Thanks to the unit's 9V battery, the SmartRig+UC can power two condenser microphones with selectable 48V phantom power. The SmartRig+UC also features a 3/8 thread on the rear of the unit to give you rigging options, as well as a strap.

What audio recording software would you use on an iPhone?
This product is USB-C, so it will not work with an iPhone. There is an iPhone version, the SmartRig+DI also available at B&H. When it comes to recording apps, there are so many it’s hard to suggest just one. I like Filmic Pro for video with great audio options, Garage Band is great for music, and Saramonic has an Audio and Video app called SmartRecorder that is free for both.

Using the usb c or the lightning connection the signal that will receive the phone will stereo ?? I understand using the 3.5 trs conection the signal to the cellphone will mono.
Yes. It does provide stereo, or in reality a dual mono signal of Left and Right.
Make sure to switch the SmartRig to stereo mode.
