On the product description it says model ST4000VNA08, but the on the picture the model says ST4000VN008? Which drive is this? Also, what is the difference between the two models?
Asked by: Edward
This is ST4000VN008, the vendor/ manufacturer did a special sku (looks like retail package) for retailers like B&H. The drive would be the same

I have the 6tb iron wolf but after installing it looks like only 2tb were used do they still use a partition manager in windows 10 to use the rest of the drive?
Asked by: Daniel
No you need to format the drive as a gpt partion and not an mbr. Anything above 2tb has to be a gpt partion in order to address beyond the 2tb limit.

What's the difference between this model (B&H #SEST12000VN7) and the more expensive model (B&H #SEST12000VNA)? Neither one is from the PRO series. All the specs seem similar.
Asked by: Dave
I think you are referring to BH # and not model numbers. So they are probably the same just BH may have had a different batch come in and thought it was not listed before or they need to sell it at a higher price since they paid more from the vendor
