question

What is the benefit of more ram? What would take advantage of more ram?
Asked by: Joe B.
As most answers have said, more ram help to run more applications. If you've never had a QNAP, you may not know they have 100s of apps for free and purchase that can change your QNAP from being just a storage device to a network appliance. Anti-virus, media streaming, web server intelligent back up, surveillance device and so much more. Some of these apps are really useful. As some have said here too... it's easy to install even for non technical people as long as you purchase the correct chips. I have 3 QNAP devices and I suggest getting the best processor you can and load up as much RAM as you can to take advantage of the apps.
