Has anyone ever used this podcaster for voice ...

Has anyone ever used this podcaster for voice over work as a mic preamp and also to be able to to directed phone sessions with clients? I have been looking for a device to allow clients to hear me through my mic and be able to hear them through my headphones and also to be able to record their side of the phone call on a separate track and not affect my recording track. Being able to have their comments recorded in sun c with my read would be helpful. I would feed the output of the podcaster to my Adobe Auditions.
Asked by: Carlo
You should be able to achieve both the two way communication and separate recording track needs using the multitrack function of the device into a standard audio DAW and the TRRS/ Bluetooth inputs for your caller.

Can you change what goes to each headphone output ...

Can you change what goes to each headphone output or are they always the mix out? For example: can I have the microphone 1 and 2 go out to the headphone 1 output, while the headphone 2 output is only listening to the microphone 3, for example?
Asked by: Joaquim Pedro
No. The headphone outputs are all copies of the main mix out.

Does the unit have the capability to output ...

Does the unit have the capability to output incoming audio to two sources (for example, out to a sound/PA System/Speakers, as well as SlingStudio)?
Asked by: Brandon
There is a left and right 1/4 inch stereo pair of outputs, which would allow you to go mono out to two destinations. Also, you can use the USB interface to go out directly to your computer for streaming.

Can I use this for mixing music?
Asked by: Samuel
It's intended use is for mixing microphones in a podcast scenario. Threre is no reason why you can't use it for mixing music in a live setting with no overdubs. It may not be the best sounding device to do so though.

Does the RodeCaster have an audio limiter to ...

Does the RodeCaster have an audio limiter to limit peaks in the mic signal. I know it says it has a headphone limitier, but that is nott the same thing. I need to make sure I don't get a peak in my audio, so I am looking for an audio limiter in the unit?
Asked by: Jared Platt
Yes, you can set the input soft, medium or hard depending on the speaker for each input. I haven't experienced any clipping for speaking and some vocal singing.
