The black TH-07 High-Definition Monitor Headphones from TASCAM are over-ear monitors with 50mm drivers that are designed for mixing, monitoring, or simply enjoying your favorite music. They feature a closed-back design for accurate bass response and bleed rejection that prevents sound from escaping the earcups when recording on a microphone.

The TH-07 comes with two removable cables, both with gold-plated connectors. One is coiled, shorter in length, and has a 3.5mm plug, for a better connection to close-proximity audio devices and to avoid cable dangles. The other is a straight cable (approximately 8.5') for longer cable run applications and has a multiconnector, which will accommodate both 3.5mm and 1/4" connectors. Soft, comfortable earcups and a padded headband ensure a comfortable fit for extended periods, even for those who wear eyeglasses, while the unique driver design provides an intimate high-fidelity listening experience.

Design Quality
The TH-07 headphones offer specifications with a frequency response of 10 Hz to 30 kHz and sensitivity of 100 dB +/-3 dB.
50mm Drivers
The custom-made 50mm drivers are designed to cover the ears for an intimate listening experience and to replicate every detail of the source material. The result is audio quality of premium near-field monitors but as a personal on-ear listening experience.
Earcups
The headphones earcups are made of a soft pliable leatherette to avoid ear fatigue and provide comfort for extended periods. Each circumaural driver can rotate and be angled for physical flexibility and one-ear monitoring. The padded headband is also designed for comfort and durability.
Removable Multi-Connection Cables
The TH-07 comes with two removable cables, both with gold-plated connectors. One is coiled, shorter in length, and has a 3.5mm plug for connection to close-proximity audio devices and helps avoid cable dangles. The other is a straight cable (approximately 8.5') for longer cable run applications. The straight cable has a multiconnector which will accommodate both 3.5mm and 1/4" connectors.
Accessories Included
A leatherette carrying bag with a pull-tie closure is also included to protect the TH-07 when not in use and for transporting.

Tascam TH-07 headphones, the real thing

I got these after reading some great reviews, and those reviews were right. Clarity, definition, response . . . these Tascams have it all--except, that is, a high price tag. I retired my early A-T M50s after listening through the TH-07s (though I'm keeping my M30s for field work). These Tascams will be great for not only listening and tracking, but for mastering as well. Excellent AND inexpensive!

great sound

I love these headphones. I use them on my computer for gaming and for music. Using a creative labs dedicated sound card to power them they really have a good clean sound. The bass is there with some thump and the mids and highs are there without being blown out or over shadowed. I have a pair of Audio-technnica ATH-A550z and I think the Tascam have a better sound. The fit is not quite as sealing as I would like but everyone has a different head shape so I know one size fits all usually fits none. For the price I definitely recommend them.

I read reviews saying these are very good, just below great. They are not. They're not bad at all, I'm going to keep them (bought a pair). If I was using headphones as a primary listening source, these wouldn't do. But as an occasional check-in or tracking in my home studio, they are a great value. What's best about these is the lack of coloration thru the whole mid-range area. This not only means an accurate reproduction of the music, but no obnoxious hot spots that become fatiguing after awhile. Where they disappoint is 1) a closed-in boxy sound 2) bass frequencies weak 3) very exaggerated upper freq area (9-10K) Overall, these are worth the money I paid (on sale @ $75) and I rate them a C+ or B-

I bought this pair of Tascam TH-07 headphones to use for a recent digital piano purchase. The piano sounds great in a room using the built-in speakers, but was really lacking when it came to using headphones. I had grand hopes for the TH-07s, and MAN have they come through!! The sound is indescribable, other than to say, gorgeous, rich, full piano sound, and that doesn't seem to do it justice. I am extremely pleased and recommend TH-07 headphones wholeheartedly. I have not listened to other music with them, but I expect good things there too. My MAIN reason for purchasing this set was the coiled cable that comes with them. There are two cable options and both were included in the box. The coiled cable has a little too much straight cable between the headphones and the beginning of the coil (for my purposes, which is to keep kitty cat from chewing on the cord), but it is hardly a concern. It seems that the cables have a kind of a push and turn lock to hold the cable in at the headphone end, so be aware and careful of that. If they aren't in properly, the sound quality is reduced. Overall I am extremely pleased with this purchase and recommend the TH-07 Headphones to anyone who is a budget-minded headphone buyer. Great price, great sound.
