There was a 60Hz electrical hum and buzz noise ...
There was a 60Hz electrical hum and buzz noise when I connected the PodMic to my RØDECaster Pro. Has anyone else had the same problem? I tried swapping cables and inputs and tried a different mic. Only the PodMic has the humming noise problem. I’m wondering if the PodMic has a shielding problem.
Beware of cheap mic cables that can introduce RF noise. Try using a Mogami Gold Studio cable. If you're already using a good quality mic cable make sure the mic is at least 2 feet away from any potential RF sources like power supplies, mobile phones, etc., and don't run the mic cable closely in parallel with any power cords. If you're still getting RF interference contact Rode support.

Will the boom that is featured in the official Rodecaster tutorials be bundled with the Podmic, or is that separate? If it is separate - what is the brand and model of the boom featured in the videos?
Hello Chad, currently the Rode PSA1 is not included as a bundle from Rode, but is sold separately. The PSA1 is an excellent upgrade and add-on to the new PodMic.

For podcasting we love this:
Rode RODECaster Pro Integrated Podcast Production Studio B&H # RORDECSTRPRO: https://bhpho.to/2MIwfUt
But a simple interface like this one, will work very well for general applications as well:
Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2x2 USB Audio Interface (3rd Generation) B&H # FOSCARSOLO3G

Does this microphone come with an XLR cable?
I ordered it as a kit with the Rodecaster and that came with cables but no cables in the individual Podmic boxes.

Your specs say:
Frequency Range 50 Hz to 13 kHz
On the official Rode website it says 20 Hz to 20 kHz which is better range than a Rode Procaster. Who's right?
Hello Igor, I have just received an update that the frequency response is 20 Hz - 20k Hz. Rode will be updating the website and datasheet asap.

I plan on using this mic with my Focusrite ...
I plan on using this mic with my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 - would adding an activator such as the CL-1 Cloudlifter Mic Activator be of any added benefit, or entirely unnecessary? Just wanting to know if my Scarlett 2i4 interface will be enough.
My tests with the Tascam US 2x2 sounded good without a Cloudlifter, 2i4 should be just fine.

can i use this mic with recorders like zoom or tascam without loosing any quality because reviews mentioned it is best when pairing with rodecaster..?
It is best with the Rodecaster Pro due to the preamps. As with any recording device using a dynamic mic, you will need a good preamp to reduce the noise level.

I just received the Rode PodMic. I notice it doesn't have any adjustment knobs OR especially, a place to plug in earphones or ear buds. What's the alternative?
The Rode Podmic is a dynamic microphone, that would be connected into a a mixing board or an audio interface. Those devices would give you gain control and headphone monitoring.
