Battery won't charge

After only a year with minimal use, one of the two batteries I purchased is dead and will not charge. I literally might have used it 5 or 6 times. I store it inside so I'm not sure why it died so soon.

For the price its good

The batteries work great, the charger does fine but only charges in series/not in parallel. If you put on two batteries to charge it will charge one and then the other, not both simultaneously. Just a thing to note and plan for if you're using these on location.

We use IDX batteries exclusively for all of our remote broadcasting to power cameras. They have never let us down....B&H has good prices and has fast delivery.

Works great but adds extra weight and longer charge time!

The battery works great to power my Red Camera, Red monitor, and a 7 inch external monitor. I get close to 2 hours of run time. It does add weight to the camera but actually makes the camera more balanced as it helps offset heavy lenses. Understandably It also takes longer to charge compared to my IDX duo 98c batteries.

So far so good.

Excellent System, However

I have used this system for just over 2 years. I know that because one month after the two year warranty one of the batteries failed. It probably failed before that but it was not being used for a few months and it was only when I needed to put it into use that I absolutely confirmed that one of the three batteries I own would no longer charge. I had noticed it earlier, but having three batteries I just put another into service. My advice, it is a great system, but you should pay attention to warranty dates of the components.

I really love this battery, and have used it for both my cameras, and my light kits. The battery is long-lasting, features a couple of D-Taps, and a USB port. Even though I have them for a long time, it still holds a charge well. I am a big fan of IDX batteries.

In the EVF you can turn on the Battery Status screen. It displays information about the battery and DC IN source. This would include any brand 14.4DCV battery that has been regulated to the camera's power input level.

This should have no issue powering the URSA. However, it will most likely not last as long as batteries with higher watt hours.
