Meike 12mm f/2.8 Overview

This 12mm f/2.8 lens is designed for APS-C-format Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras and provides an 18mm equivalent focal length.
Multi-layer nano coating has been applied in order to suppress ghosting and flare for increased contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.
Manual focus design along with a manual aperture ring offer precise control over both focus and exposure.
All-metal construction is durable and depth of field and focus distance scales have been engraved on the lens barrel for pre-focusing needs.

Great Build Quality

Really nice lens. Great build quality. Camera will not take a photo nor record video unless you set your camera to "shutter release without lens" so be sure to do that first.

Focus ring became inoperable after light use

I bought this lens 8 months ago as I needed a wide angle for rare use, and didn't feel the need to go high-end given limited use. I've probably shot 10 different settings over that time with this lens. It's reasonably sharp for the price, though the distance indicators are way off. But when I pulled it out to use on a western trip, the focus ring has apparently broken loose from the inner workings and I can no longer focus the lens, it just loosely spins so the lens is useless. Horrible build quality. Would never buy Meike again.

Can you fit a 72 mm uv filter on this lens without fov interference?
Asked by: david
Yes, I would recommend using a slim build UV filter to avoid any kind of vignette on this lens. The B+W 72mm XS-Pro UV Haze MRC-Nano 010M Filter would be a great option. I have posted a link bellow. https://bhpho.to/2cy8Yj4

What lens adapter do I need to put this on either a Canon 6D or a Canon6D MarkII?
Asked by: Tarah
As far as we are aware, there is currently no adapter that will allow you to mount an EF-M lens such as the Meike MK-12mm f/2.8 EF-M mount lens onto a 6d / 6d Mk II. That is because the flange focal distance of the EF-M system is smaller than the EF/EF-S flange focal distance; you can go bigger to smaller, but typically not smaller to bigger.
