Fun to use along with my rectangular 8mm fisheye. My is a little off center. The one I had before cropped a little on both sides though. Using photoshop elliptical marque tool in full circle mode, I crop just a tad to get a full perfect circle, but I am picky. Do wish it passed on the aperture used - thus four stars. In a slide show I use fisheye images sparingly, but they add a little interest to the show at times.

Focus is soft. Stars are blurred in night pictures. It is more like a lens for a surveillance camera than a photographer’s lens

Non clicking Aperture ring. Heavy and solid. On canon apsc the edges of the field of view just clip the top and bottom of frame. Seems sharp even around open aperture. Amazing something like this exists at this price

Only works with apcs. I am not a big fan of this lens. It’s hard to focus and is all manual. I wouldn’t but did. Fish eye is a fish eye and they are rarely used

Good lens for the price. It's completely made from metal, everything is tight in place. The focus is a little too tight for my liking but a little use will loosen it up. You have to be conscious about the 190° capturing angle though, its very easy to capture the hand on the focus ring or your feet. I highly recommend this lens. The pictures were taken with a Sony Alpha 6000.

Not a circular fisheye on Nikon 1 system

This lens is unique on the Nikon 1 system. It is a circular fisheye and it says that on the lens, but with the Nikon 1 2.7x crop factor that turns this circular fisheye into a full frame fisheye; exactly what I wanted. What other camera system has a full frame f/2.0 fisheye lens? none. only Nikon 1. Incredibly sharp, beautiful bokeh when used at its closest focusing distance. build quality is outstanding and it has significant weight to it. this lens does not interact with the camera at all so it is full manual exposure. interestingly when using it in video mode on a Nikon V3, you get an exposure meter on the side to help properly expose; yet auto iso will not work. so there is a bit of a learning curve, but the aperture ring is smooth with no clicks so it is truly ideal for manual exposure video shooting. This lens is great for my needs. I wish auto iso worked with this lens but it's not a deal breaker.

Found this lens used here for about $100....it certainly provided more than 100 dollars of entertainment and fun learning how best to compose shots and use it. You can crop pretty nice 4x5 format from the center and still have decent resolution. Mechanicals are good, but it is easy to accidentally change the aperture since it is not click stopped...but a minor issue...it just makes you actually pay attention to what you are doing which is what we all could benefit from a bit.

I use it with a SonyA7III, and I get a full circle image; which is what I wanted. All I have to do is push in a little to get it to fit the frame fully. It’s manual and it’s actually pretty sharp and an interesting toy lens to play with.

It is a manual only lens. It will not communicate with the camera. On some cameras you have to set them to shoot with out a lens before they will fire.

No, this lens is designed to fit and work only on the Canon cropped sensor mirrorless cameras. Like the M6, M6, M50 and M100

If I mount this onto a full frame film camera (leica M6) with an adapter - will the image still be circular? Or will it be distorted/warped?

Although there are no adapters to mount this EF-M lens to a Leica M6, it would produce a circular image.

The image would be more distorted than fully circular, but you will be reducing the effective area used, so it will look more like distortion than a circular look.

Yes, this lens will work with the A73, however, it is a cropped sensor lens and will reduce the resolution on your camera by about 40%.
