Very compact and light. Nice that it includes a mounting bracket & HDMI cable. Actually light enough to let dangle if another device is attached already to the camera top.

I've been using Samsung T5 SSDs mounted to my BMPCC4K, and hit the problem that with certain settings you can actually have more data than that can process from the camera. Cutting off recording which is NEVER good. I got this for replacing the T5, and in testing I simply can not overload the writing process. Wish I'd had this to begin with! Plus, it has a much smaller form feature when mounted on the camera for gimbal work and has far more options for where to mount on my rig's cage. Very pleased with it.

More expensive for less than the Samsung T Series

This product has half the write speed, no third-party accessories for ergonomics (that I am aware of), and it is more expensive. The best thing about this is perhaps the shape of the drive which is slightly more ergonomic than the Samsung T

Screw broke inside the camera

I think very cheap material. The screw broke inside my new Black Magic 6K pro. I went to home depot and brought screw remover. It was very scary to operate a drill into my new camera. I scratched the surface of the camera. Overall very disappointed!

With a usb type C to E6 (Nikon) cable would this work with a Nikon D7100 to store raw photos? Alternatively, could this be used with a computer as an external hard drive to store photos? It seems like a good storage devise for fieldwork where size/weight and waterproof are all important.

I purchased Wise for BMPCC 6K, as I found it to be the best option at the time. I don't own a Nikon D7100, so I can't tell you how it would work with it, but if you just need a good external usb-c SSD, I would recommend Lacie Rugged https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1503993-REG/lacie_sthr1000800_1tb_rugged_ssd_usb_c.html. Lacie is a faster drive and is a shock/waterproof. I hope this helps.

I found a 6 inch USB-C cable on Amazon that I am sure BH must have too. It has 90° angle ends on it. Works great and is just the right short length.

The Wise Advanced 2TB Portable & Cinema USB 3.1 Gen 2 SSD does support the Video Assist 12G. And the Black Magic Video Assist 12G does support BRAW with the Panasonic S1H. The quality of the recording is spectacular. Plus BRAW files are so easy to work with in Davinci Resolve.
