Luxli Timpani 1X1 Reviews
We prefered the Timpani 2, more power
Very good, but we prefered the version timpani 2, more power.
Very versatile and well designed
love the presets and the design. the Green/Magenta control is great. It's very versatile and well built light but I only wish that it was brighter.
Great light!
Really like this light! No teeth on the tilt adjustment!
impressive light
totally happy with these lights! compact, bright, well made, easy to understand interface to access all features, great value. I bought a second one immediately.
Great Light
I have bought 2 of these lights about a year apart. I have enjoyed using this light and I wanted another to match it. Great for colors and effects. It needs a knob on both sides because the yolk bolt comes out by itself. Made of metal and it is sturdy.
Wonderful light. Good support
I wanted this since it came out and it finally went on sale so I snagged one. I love it. It's pretty powerful and it's so useful. Easy to use even for someone like me without gel training. I had an issue when running it on battery and contacted support. They were very helpful. I learned this light requires 10 amp minimum draw when using a battery and my Maxoak V-mount batteries couldn't do it so they usually wouldn't power the light, except on rare occasion, though they work flawlessly with my Astra 6X lights. So all V-mount batteries are not the same and you'll need some good (ie costly) ones. I want another one so I have two! :)
So far so good.
Loving these so far. Need more real world usage before I'll know more. B&H should send these review requests further down the line...
Amazing light!!!
This is my first ever review on this site. I must say this is an amazing light. I work on mid to high budget TVC and Film/TV productions in Australia. One year after purchasing one of these lights I have made a decision to get a second. I find this light is the most versatile to have running on battery as a floating light on set, to finesse shots when required. Usually when moving for singles. Colour wise I have no complaints - more level would be a god send, but I find the output of this light is usually more than adequate. I use the angler softbox for this, which that in combination with the grid is my go to setup. That is nearly always on standby on any shoot. For a 1x1 that can do nearly everything, you can't go past it. App control is also great, something that can add that extra dimension of possibilities.
