Moment Anamorphic Lens (Blue Flare)
Key Features
  • Compatible with Wide and Tele Lenses
  • Performs a 1.33x Horizontal Squeeze
  • Create Videos with a 2.40:1 Aspect Ratio
  • Uses Aerospace-Grade Metal
Get horizontal flares and a letterboxed look with the Anamorphic Lens (Blue Flare) from Moment. Anamorphic lenses operate by capturing a wider image than would normally be possible with standard optics. They accomplish this by horizontally squeezing or vertically stretching a wider image onto your phone's sensor. As this lens performs a squeeze of 1.33x, the horizontal field of view will increase by 33%, which gives videos an aspect ratio of 2.40:1, as compared to the spherical, or non-anamorphic ratio of 16:9 (1.78:1). Thanks to the blue coating, you'll get a brighter, sci-fi looking flare when shooting into headlights, street lights, or directional lights.

how to attach filters to Anamorphic lens?
Asked by: chris
In order to attach filters on the Moment Anamorphic Lens BH #MO130001 you need to get an adapter B&H # MO62FM and also a 62mm filter mount BH #MOFMARRC. From there you can use any 62mm filter or you can get step up rings if you need larger filters.

Here is given 2.40:1 aspect ratio.. can I able to shoot video in normal 16:9 aspect ratio using this moment anamorphic lens?
Asked by: Sujal
Typically, with the Anamorphic Lens, if you have de-squeeze support within the app, like the Moment App or Filmic Pro, you'll want to use the aspect ratio of 2.40:1 so you don't get that squeezed look since this is essentially an ultra-wide lens. If any other aspect ratio is used, it'll look squeezed and distorted.
