Quiet Operation

The AS1004T v2 includes a 120mm fan for cooling and produces 19 dB of noise during system standby 32 dB of noise during operation.

Advanced Power Control Features

While in disk hibernation, the AS1004T v2 consumes up to 24.6W of power under normal operating conditions.

Toolless Installation

The unit's diamond-plate finished, sliding outer cover design allows it to be removed when needed. The inner hard disk rails and outer cover use hand screws allowing for the simple installation of hard disks without any extra tools.

Mobile installation with AiMaster takes 3 steps. Finding your NAS, system initialization and installation, power management, ADM firmware updates, system information, and more are all available from your mobile device at any time.

The Asustor NAS provides cross-platform and multi-user access, allowing you to connect to your NAS from Windows, Mac OS X, or Unix-like operating systems via a PC, notebook, tablet, or smartphone. It supports up to 1024 accounts, 256 groups, 256 shared folders, and 128 concurrent connections.

Backup Solutions

The device provides a variety of backup options and are connected to a variety of public cloud storage services including Amazon S3, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Box.net, HiDrive, Ralus, WonderBox, xCloud, and CrashPlan.

Mobile Apps

Asustor's EZ Connect technology allows you to connect to your NAS with your mobile device to access and share your files. Asustor mobile apps provide passcode lock functions in order to protect your privacy and data. You can also make use of HTTPS connections for even more added security.

App Central

Applications come pre-installed with each device. App Central has over 200 unique apps that you can browse through and download.

Home Multimedia Server

The unit's built-in CPU floating-point unit can quickly process large amounts of photo thumbnails, allowing you to instantly transfer and browse photos at any time. The variety of multimedia server applications can stream high definition multimedia entertainment to devices such as UPnP/DLNA players, Web browsers on computers, tablets, and smartphones.

LooksGood

LooksGood allows you to browse through all the multimedia content on your device, creating a multimedia database. You can also schedule digital TV recordings. Use Aivideos to browse through the video collection on your NAS. Tap on a video to begin streaming in high-definition 1080p to your mobile device. It supports Chromecast, DLNA, and Apple TV (AiVideos).

Surveillance System

The ASUSTOR NAS provides optimal reliability for home and SMB users looking to set up a surveillance system. Four free camera channels are offered, and the unit is compatible with a wide range of cameras. For users with larger demands, the number of camera channels can be expanded up to 8 via separately available camera licenses. After installing Surveillance Center and its corresponding mobile app AiSecure, you can stream live surveillance feeds to your smartphones while on the go.

Photo Gallery

Photo Gallery helps organize your photos and videos. Album covers feature five thumbnails, which allow you to view its contents in one glance. 1-click sharing to social media allows you to instantly share photos, while the free AiFoto mobile app provides instant backup of any photos you take.

SoundsGood

SoundsGood is a Web music player that can play all the music stored on your NAS over the Internet. You can access your music from anywhere and share your music collection. With SoundsGood, each user can have their own personalized music collection and playlists. You can also stream music directly from your NAS to your mobile device after installing the free AiMusic app.

iTunes Server

You can store all your music and movies on your Asustor NAS and have them streamed to any Mac or Windows computer within the local network. AirPlay, iOS Remote pairing, and playlists are also supported.

Hi-Res Player for Your DSD Audio

The device supports 11.2 MHz high-resolution audio output. The Hi-Res Player App combined with the unit's high performance DSD transcoding provide a listening experience that allows you to hear the subtle details and full dynamic range of your music. Hi-Res Player also allows you to create a music sharing folder to share your music collection.
