The video I'm getting from this device has really bad banding and low res. I have a cheapo adapter I bought on Amazon and the video resolution is perfect but the audio is very distorted. With this one, it's the opposite. The audio is fine but the video is lousy. I've tried multiple cameras, cables and computers and still come up with the same results. Frustrating because this has a lot of good reviews here. Any ideas?

I have not been able get my MacBook Pro to even recognize anything through this adapter despite chats and phone calls with the company. They keep saying to update the firmware but that process only works with windows... I keep telling them I live in a Mac world. Nowhere in the information prior to purchase was there a mention of issues with a Mac. Biggest waste of money I’ve ever experienced. No help from me.

Asked by: Xavier
Currently only OBS and Xsplit are listed as supported software for this device. Instead Magewell lists Resolume as compatible with their USB Capture HDMI Gen 2, B&H # MA32060. https://bhpho.to/2n9v5B3

Would this work with an Olympus PEN-F?

Would this work with an Olympus PEN-F?
Asked by: Daniel
Looks like the Olympus has an HDMI out so it should be fine. We are using it with a Canon HF R500 and capturing the HDMI feed with OBS which then feeds into FaceBook Live. Bit of a learning process but the capture adapter was never an issue.

I contacted IOGear's support and they told me that it works. "Yes the GUV301 works with the New M1 process . Just use quicktime or OBC software for video capture"
