I've been on a quest to find the perfect bag. I have the Atlas Adventure Pack and the Peter Mckinnon Nomatic. Both have a depth issue. My 5DMIV with battery grip doesn't fit well. Put a decent sized tripod plate on and forget it. Can anyone shed light on the depth for this?
Asked by: Chris
My 5D3 with grip and 50mm 1.2L lens fit perfectly in a on-side orientation. Theoretically you could put a larger lens and fit as well. Bag is very roomy. It works largely on the insert systems so I recommend going to the manufacturer site and looking at the depth for the insert you wish to use to see how it will fit. Also Peak Design is one of the best companies when it comes to how to videos. Search them on YouTube and they will have many videos of their products and different fitments for many popular hardware.

Can this bag hold a 600 mm lens? If not, what's the largest lens the bag can hold?
Asked by: NateJay
Peak Design Travel Backpack (Black) does not include any dividers though. Usually an option with dividers is purchased so that it can better hold the lens. For example this one comes with the medium dividers. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1456246-REG/peak_design_peak_design_45l_travel.html The medium dividers measures only 11 x 11 x 6" so it would fit a smaller lens for example 70-300, but it depends on the exact lens you are looking for because there are larger and smaller 600mm lenses in the market.

Looking at the specs the laptop compartment is 40.6cm x 30cm x 2.5cm which looks like it will accept a 17" laptop, but in B&H overview says 15" laptop. Will it hold for example a Asus 17.3" ROG Strix SCAR 17SE laptop?
Asked by: CARLOS
Yes, the laptop compartment in the Peak Design Travel Backpack (Sage) will hold the ASUS 17.3" Republic of Gamers Strix SCAR 17 SE Gaming Laptop.

Can this bag be a personal item, and fit under the seat of an airplane?
Asked by: Erin
No, the Peak Design Travel Backpack at 22" x 13" x 9.5" in its smallest configuration would be to large to fit under most every airline seat. However, it would be OK for overhead carry-on on most domestic airlines.
