A durable all-metal construction renders a rugged physical design, and the lens barrel's exterior also incorporates both depth of field and focusing distance scales for more accurate focus control.

I know they are not encoded... many I have seen have the engraved spaces on the mount and I want to confirm that this specific lens has the engraved spaces so I can put in the code myself?

According to the manufacturer, the KIPON Iberit 24mm f/2.4 Lens for Leica M (as well as all of their Leica M-mount lenses) already feature the 6-bit engraved spacing; they simply require you to paint the proper code onto the lens mount flange.
