I notice a lot of Chromatic aberration, especially around white surfaces you see RGB lines on the surface edges. I like the feel of the F stops, focus ring is harder to move (it moves the entire front of the lens from the aperture ring in/out) Comes with a metal cap that screws on the filter threads.

Is the lens chipped? Does it have focus confirmation and AE features?
The lens does not have any electronic contact points so technically no. However how confirming focus you can always use the focus magnification function in the Canon EOS R and for exposure you can use the screen to preview exposure before shooting.

Would you recommend this lens for filmmaking?
Would you recommend this lens for filmmaking?
Yes, it would be good for that. It features smooth focusing operation and the same size barrel as other lenses in this line. That means you can easily swap it out with other lenses when using a follow focus without having to adjust the height of the camera's baseplate. Of course, this lens would be just one part of a multi-part rig for all of that, but its design does make it a convenient option if you intend to use it with a follow focus system.
