If just getting the 2 light kit, with 2 light stands, is there room for a small tripod in the case as well that can hold a Sony A7 Series camera?
Although the padded case is meant for the Aputure Lighstorm Kit, you could squeeze in a Sony A7 Series camera.

Are the cases in the 2 light kit and 3 light kit the same? If so, is there room in the 2 light kit case to also carry one 300dii?
The cases are the same but the 300d MKII is a much bigger fixture and power supply. It is unlikely you could make it fit.

The model and dimensions of the hard case in this kit is not specified, but judging from the pictures it looks as it may be the same one included with the 3-Light LS C120D II kit. Does that mean there's enough space in this case to also store one additional Amaran 200x unit and its lightstand?
Yes, you should be able to fit another light and reverse stand on this case.

Can I attached bowens softbox to this light?
Some yes and some no. While the light does use a Bowens mount, the front rim of the light sticks out quite far which can prevent some soft boxes from locking in place. With a Bowens mount, you have to insert the speed ring into the light and then turn it to lock. It inserts fine, but not quite deep enough to allow for the turn/lock in SOME cases. I have an Aputure octabox, and a few Photix Raja modifiers (Bowens mount), all of which work great! However, I did have to return some soft boxes from other brands because they simply didn’t fit. Whether the issue is with the mount on the lights or the modifiers, I can’t be 100% sure. These are great lights. Just be aware that some modifiers won’t fit.

Does this light come with a light stand? or is it mostly used on C-stands?
this light does not come with a stand but a standard light stand or C stand will work well. If you are using modifiers, a C stand would be ideal.
