Canon EG-E1 Reviews

So glad I bought this

This is one of those things that you don’t need to have, but it’s never coming off my camera now that I have it. It just makes the Canon R8 feel so much better in my hands. Sometimes attachments like this feel a little cheap and don’t stay on well. This thing is solid and stays on. I haven’t had it come loose once. It feels like it’s part of the camera. Canon’s price for this thing is absolutely disgusting, but whatever. I love it and will keep it for sure.

Perfect Extension for R8

Although not a necessary accessory to have, if you have larger hands it makes holding the R8 more comfortable. You pay a premium for a Canon accessory, but you always know it will fit perfectly and the aluminum construction looks and feels great. I appreciate the blue accent color. It gives a bit of personality to the camera. If you are going to spend a little money on a functional accessory I highly recommend this extension.

I use a quick release plate for Manfrotto tripod. What is the distance from tripod screw hole to battery door? I want to be able to open battery door without removing quick release plate which is just over 1 inch wide.
Asked by: Peter
the battery door would open with a small Quick-Release Plate the distance is about 1-1/8"
