Linksys MR8300 Overview

Boost your home wireless coverage with the MR8300 Tri-Band Mesh AC2200 Wi-Fi Router from Linksys. Supporting the Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) wireless standard, the tri-band MR8300 is capable of up to 2.2 Gb/s total Wi-Fi data throughput and comes equipped with four Gigabit LAN ports, a Gigabit WAN port, and a USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A port.

The MR8300's support for Wi-Fi mesh networks means you can extend the router's coverage by installing more Linksys Velop wireless nodes in your home. Multi-user MIMO technology allows for multiple simultaneous data connections, while Beamforming+ technology lets the router focus its Wi-Fi signals toward nearby wireless devices. Smart Connect Band Steering helps the router direct Wi-Fi clients toward the most appropriate wireless band.

Mesh Wi-Fi
With built-in Mesh Wi-Fi, this router is designed to scale to your household's Wi-Fi needs. As your Wi-Fi needs grow, simply add a Linksys Velop node to expand your coverage. Velop nodes all work seamlessly together with the MR8300, so there's no need to manually switch between networks.
Easy Setup
Simply connect your router to your modem, download the Linksys app, name your network and choose a password. The router works with most ISP plans and modems.
Linksys Auto Firmware Upgrade
Your MR8300 automatically receives firmware updates from Linksys as they are released, which helps to ensure that your router is secure and up to date.
Linksys App
With the Linksys App, you can closely monitor and manage your home Wi-Fi remotely using a smartphone or tablet. Among its features:
  • Guest access: Create a separate, password-protected Wi-Fi network for up to 50 guests and easily share the password.
  • Parental controls: Helps to ensure a safe internet experience for your kids, even when you're away from home. Restrict access to inappropriate or distracting content, control usage, and block specific devices from accessing the internet.
  • Device prioritization: You can prioritize devices that need the most speed.
  • Speed test: Easily test and monitor your internet connection's speed.
