    Ricoh BJ-11 Reviews

BJ-11 Battery Charger is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a charger! I purchased this thinking it was a self contained charger like the BJ-6 so that I could charge batteries without having to plug the camera in.  This unit has to be used with the cable sent with the camera, so it is NOT a battery charger and you cannot charge an extra battery with it.  All it does is allow you to charge a battery out of the camera, if you plug it into the camera supplied cable. I am not impressed, in fact very disappointed and the associated cost for being able to charge more than one battery is exorbitant.  Quality of product in comparison to the BJ-6 is inferior.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from only 1/3 of a charger. This is not a charger like the trusty BJ-6 which has kept my GR batteries in top shape for years and years. This requires the AC adapter and cable that came with the camera, which are not listed as Required Accessories, nor even apparently available. $50 and not really what it is advertised to be.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad Marketing Camera doesn't come with a charger Ricoh's costs 4 X as much as the off brand and doesn't even come with a way to plug it in. You have to use the cord that comes with the camera so there's no way to charge 2 batteries simultaneously after dropping $50, shame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great alternative to in camera charging I like to have at least two batteries with me at all times.  The capacities of the new batteries are lower than the prior version.

Can this ‘charger’ be connected to a USB port on a computer, for example, like other devices (portable hard drives, etc) which draw power from a USB port?
    Asked by: David
This ‘charger’ is actually an ‘attachment’ to the USB charger (cord included) supplied with the camera. What I’m asking is can this ‘attachment’ be connected to the USB port on, for example, a computer instead of the charger (the one supplied with the camera...)?
