LEE Filters 100FH Overview

Utilizing a modular, snap-on filter slot system, the LEE100 Filter Holder from LEE Filters can be quickly configured to hold up to one, two, or three separately available 100mm-wide, 2mm-thick filters along with a separately available polarizer filter.

Constructed for durability while remaining lightweight, use of the LEE100 Filter Holder is easily accomplished by first screwing a separately available LEE Filters adapter ring for a 100mm system filter holder onto a lens with corresponding front filter threads. After being fitted onto an adapter ring, the filter holder's pull-and-release locking knob helps to provide a reliable, yet adjustable connection that allows the holder to be rotated 360°, allowing the use of graduated neutral density and other filters that are enhanced by varied positioning. Featuring three user-selectable positions, the locking knob can be set to allow the filter holder to be rotated or removed from an adapter ring. By progressively turning the locking knob, the filter holder can be locked onto an adapter ring while it is rotated, or it can be locked onto an adapter ring with no rotation.

Three pairs of snap-on LEE Filters Filter Guide Blocks are included. When installed, a guide block pair creates one, two, or three slots for 100mm-wide, 2mm-thick filters and accommodates a separately available LEE Filters LEE100 Polarizer Filter. This filter can be snapped directly onto a LEE100 Filter Holder's guide blocks without occupying any of their filter slots. Alternatively, a separately available LEE Filters 105mm Polarizer Ring allows a separately available LEE Filters 105mm Landscape Circular Polarizer Filter to be adapted to the LEE100 Filter Holder without occupying any of its guide blocks' filter slots.

  • Durable, lightweight filter holder allows for the convenient use of up to three, separately available 100mm wide, 2mm thick filters and a separately available LEE Filters LEE100 Polarizer Filter
  • Can be mounted onto a lens with a separately available LEE Filters adapter ring for a 100mm system filter holder
  • Each pair of included snap-on LEE Filters Filter Guide Blocks creates one, two, or three slots for 100mm-wide, 2mm-thick filters
  • LEE100 Polarizer can be snapped directly onto a LEE100 Filter Holder's guide blocks without occupying any filter slot
  • A separately available LEE Filters 105mm Polarizer Ring allows a separately available LEE Filters 105mm Landscape Circular Polarizer Filter to be used without occupying any filter slot
  • Pull-and-release locking knob helps to provide a reliable, yet adjustable connection that allows the filter holder to be rotated 360°, allowing the use of graduated neutral density and other filters that are enhanced by varied positioning
  • Three-position locking knob allows the filter holder to be rotated or removed from an adapter ring, locked onto an adapter ring while it is rotated, or locked onto an adapter ring with no rotation
  • Padded pouches for filter holder as well as filter guide blocks are included for storage and transport

Well built. Smooth operation. The half lock system does not work. However it doesn't seem to matter.

If you use the old Lee Filter holder with the Landscape Polariser then I recommend Lee100 as you can snap the Polariser on and off the front without the bother of threading it on and off. Also there is a locking mechanism that allows you to rotate filters or lock them in place. Loved the old one but new one is better. Also Polariser requires plate to connect the Polariser to the Holder.

Nice holder

I bought this to replace an old Cokin filter holder. This one is built more solid. I would get light leaks with the old one. I like the adaptors too.

I bought the LEE100 to accommodate a few different kinds of ND 100 mm filters, grad filters, as well as a polarizer (this needs the polarizer adapter). I much prefer using a filter system like this where I simply purchase an adapter ring to fit onto a different lens. At the time of purchase, I didn't see any metal LEE filter holders available, but would have considered one of those first, provided the price wasn't too exorbitant. This particular one seems a bit pricey for being plastic which is why I gave four starts. However, it seems to be holding up well and doing exactly what is needed... holding filters to a lens and blocking out all unfiltered light.

Just as was expected!!!

I saw this at Photo Expo at the Javits center last year and forgot to pick it up there. Here it is months later and I just ordered it. So glad that I did. It works well with my Lee Filters. Now I have no worries about my filters possibly falling out of the old (no name brand) filter that I was using.

Doesn't hold the filters tight enough.

I tried it with Kase 2mm thick filters and they pretty much just slide right out of this filter holder. Other than that unfortunate fact it seems like a nice holder. I'm guessing that whatever coatings Kase puts on their filters that make them so easy to clean is also making them super slick. Kase filters have special coatings that shed water like magic. Anyway, I went with the Benro framed filter holder which works great.

Massive improvement

I had used the original Lee holder for a number of years always with trepidation due to the insecure locking system. This new design, for me, has proven to be a brilliant response to a photographer using the Lee ND system. This is a purchase that I am totally happy with...

If you like your filter never buy a Lee filter holder

I Carry a Lee filter holder and Haida GND filter. to control light especially on the pier. Regretfully Lee's flat filter holder design is not good and frame with filter drop down and filter brock. I strongly advise you don't use the Lee filter holder. Design is not secure and no luck, just by small pressure frame and filter comes out.

I use the 100 on an 82mm opening with the a wide angle 16mm lens. I needed the wide angle adaptor ring to make it work. Looks like B&H carries the adaptor for a 95mm. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/87125-REG/LEE_Filters_AR095_Adapter_Ring_95mm.html/reviews Read the reviews

I have the older Lee Foundation filter holder ...

I have the older Lee Foundation filter holder with the Lee 105mm polarizer. I'm using the single-slot holders and an 82mm wide-angle adapter ring on a Nikon 14-30mm f/4 Z lens and I'm getting vignetting in the corners at 14mm. Will this newer holder with a single-slot and the newer snap-in polarizer still vignette? I don't want to buy the new holder if it does exactly the same as the old one.
Asked by: Eric
I'm specifically thinking about the new polarizer ring for the new 100mm system. It's a different design from the old foundation system and appears to be a bit more recessed in the holder than the one I'm using. (Is that correct? Or does it just look that way in the photos?) I'm only getting the vignetting when I have the 105mm polarizer attached. There is no vignetting using just the holder

I bought this filter holder for my Sony A7r3, moving from the older 100 filter system. With the new filter holder, using the 16-35 f2.8 Sony G Master Lens at 16 mm I got the black side of the holder showing? I have to zoom in a bit a little under 20mm. Is that a known issue, Any way to fix it? As a landscape photographer I photograph a lot at 16mm while using my filters. This could be an issue, Any Suggestions?
