Lexar 128GB UHS-II SDXC Overview

The 128GB Professional 1667x UHS-II SDXC Memory Card from Lexar features a storage capacity of 128GB and takes advantage of the UHS-II bus to support advanced DSLR functions such as continuous shutter bursts and rapid shooting, as well as raw and JPEG captures. This card is also well-suited for video capture, including 4K, 3D, and Full HD video, and can achieve maximum read speeds of up to 250 MB/s and maximum write speeds of up to 120 MB/s. Thanks to its V60 speed class rating, minimum write speeds are guaranteed not to drop below 60 MB/s.

UHS-II cards achieve their speed through an extra row of pins and while this card has been designed for cameras that are UHS-II / V60 compatible, it may be used in devices that do not support UHS-II / V60. However, bear in mind that this card will then default to your device's speed class and bus rating, such as UHS-II and V30, which supports minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s, or UHS-I and U3, which also supports minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s. If your device does not support U3, this card is compatible with the U1 and Class 10 standards, each of which guarantee minimum write speeds of 10 MB/s.

To help protect against accidental file deletion, there is a built-in write protect switch. To further safeguard against possible data loss, users can download free Image Rescue software that is designed to recover most photo and video files.

If you don't need to shoot S&Q all I this camera can handle all the important codecs. The highest bitrate I film with the A7IV is 4k60 and this v60 card can handle it. You'll save a lot money if you don't need V90 cards.

I have a question

I use this in my Fuji X-H2S alongside a CFExpress. Mainly I use it as backup and to store JPGs in parallel with the RAWs. This card does what it's supposed to. No issues at all.

Works great!

If you can afford the A7S3, spare a few dime for the fastest SD writing at 390mbps: Lear 2000X, SOMY G class, Sandisk Extreme Pro. Or once and for all acquire the CFEpress type A, then you can be sure of using all Recording modes.

Is this card compatible with a canon 5D Mark III?
Asked by: Jonathan
It fits any camera with a SD slot, the issue is don’t know if 5D3 slot equipped with the 2nd Row of contacts, most likely not. Thus 5D3 is not maximizing the top speed of the card. If you’re recording HD1080 I didn’t see any problem.

Is this card compatible with the Panasonic GH5's 400Mbps All-Intra bitrate?
Asked by: Kiran
Yes. Tried it out today immediately upon receiving the Lexar card. Recorded at C4K 400mbps all-intra for 22 minutes before I stopped recording. No reason to think it wouldn't have gone all the way to 43+ minutes when the card would fill up. Great value!

will this card work in a Sony 4K Ax 100 ...

will this card work in a Sony 4K Ax 100 camcorder?
Asked by: sanford J.
The Sony FDR-AX100 4K Ultra HD Camcorder does not have the second row of pins internally needed for the extra throughput speed offered by the Lexar 128GB Professional 1667x UHS-II SDXC Memory Card, and does not offer UHS-II support. While you may use the Lexar 128GB Professional 1667x UHS-II SDXC Memory Card inside the Sony FDR-AX100 4K Ultra HD Camcorder, do note that you may actually get slower transfer speeds than if you used a standard UHS-I card in the camera. As such, while the above card may be used in the camera, I would instead personally recommend the Lexar 128GB Professional 667x UHS-I SDXC Memory Card, B&H # LELSD128B667, for your usage needs.
