Blackmagic Design Quad Overview

Ingest high-resolution 4K video and audio for streaming or editing applications with the DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder Capture Card from Blackmagic Design. The DeckLink Quad is a PCIe card that features four HDMI 2.0b inputs that provide support for resolutions up to DCI 4K60. Additionally, the DeckLink Quad supports eight channels of embedded 24-bit 48 kHz audio.

The DeckLink Quad offers flexible format and system support, letting you work with popular compressed video formats such as ProRes, AVCHD, XDCAM, and DNxHD, as well as up to 12-bit uncompressed video. When working with uncompressed video, all images are pixel-for-pixel identical to the source, without any generational loss. This lets you get sharper keying with green screens, cleaner compositions, superior color correction, and more. Support for common file formats provides ready-to-edit files for use in popular editing, effects, and design software applications.

The DeckLink Quad is compatible with Mac, Windows, and Linux based workstations. Drivers and utility software are available on the manufacturer's website.

Yes, you can use as many cards as your system can support. You'll need to have a powerful system with enough resources to handle all those video inputs.

Would this support live color grading of an HDR signal inside of Resolve Studio? Signal would be coming from various game consoles.
Asked by: Thomas
Sorry - should have elaborated. Potential setup: Standalone PS5 outputting HDR signal to HDMI splitter; splitter output #1 to HDR monitor #1 for untreated monitoring; splitter output #2 to PC and into Resolve for "live" color grading on HDR monitor #2. By "live" I mean without capturing video clips to THEN be graded. A slight lag/delay doesn't matter too much - I'd just like the game to remain playable and have the preview in Resolve update automatically, and support setting up grades without needing to capture clips.

will this card ork in a gigabyte motherboard with a PCI Express x16 slot, running at x4 (PCIEX4)?
Asked by: Sheldon
This card is certified to work on a PCIe 8 lane generation 3 slot, and is compatible with 8 and 16 lane PCIe slots. If you under power the x16 lane slot to x4, the card may still work with limited support. If you encounter issues, you'll have to move the card to a slot that meets the minimum requirements.

is this card compatible with ASRock B450M Pro4 motherboard?
Asked by: otis
This is compatible with 8 and 16 Lane PCI Express Slots. My research indicates that the B450M Pro4 offers a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot. This card should work well with that motherboard.
