If one drive goes bad after the warranty, does a similarly sized drive need to take its place or can you put in a larger one (assuming it is in RAID mode, not JBOD)?

In the future if I want to expand storage, can I swap out the hard drives?
Asked by: Johannes Paulus
The internal drives can be replaced by the user. However, I would suggest to contact LaCie to do this while it's still under LaCie warranty. Tampering with the internal drives will void manufacturer warranty.
