The Godox X2 2.4 GHz TTL Wireless Flash Trigger is dedicated to Sony's TTL system and operates on a 2.4 GHz frequency. The wireless flash trigger can fire a single flash or multiple dedicated flash units within 5 groups, 32 channels, and 99 ID settings to avoid interference from other nearby systems. Godox X2 Overview

All the settings are easily viewed on the trigger's large LCD display, which can be backlit along with the group and function buttons. A USB Type-C port is located on the side of the wireless trigger to download firmware updates as is a 3.5mm sync socket to connect non-TTL flashes or to fire cameras via a remote camera cord. The downloadable GodoxPhoto app is compatible with iPhone or Android smartphones or tablets while operating the triggers via Bluetooth. The app can control the same functions as the wireless trigger such as the flash mode, power output, the modeling light, high speed sync, and the audible beep of Godox flashes.

The wireless trigger, which operates on a 2.4 GHz frequency can fire multiple flash units within 32 channels and 99 ID settings, so there is no interference from nearby systems.

You can control flash functions such as the flash mode, power output, the modeling light, high speed sync of 1/8000 sec, and the audible beep of Godox flashes while operating the flash units within a wireless range up to 328'.

The integrated scan setting function can help you automatically locate an ID channel with the least interference.

Got the Godox transmitter/receiver as connectors to my Canon flashes when Canon's system became very unreliable several years ago. These have been quite dependable over the course of many sessions over the last few years (eg holding connections throughout the session) and I'm glad I found this solution to last me until I upgrade my Canon flashes to another brand. One transmitter for your camera and then one receiver per flash is my setup. My main flashes are the 600EX; however, with the Godox, I've been able to bring my 580's and 430 flashes back into service! This has been ideal at wedding receptions - I put the older/cheaper flashes on the light stands in the corners so that potential guest run-ins will not ruin my primary flashes. I also had the XPro Trigger for awhile, but have found I prefer this X2 because of its greater versatility with its hotshoe. I've gone thru 2 triggers in my last couple years. One busted when my camera got knocked off a table (understandable). Another just stopped communicating with the receivers even though no settings were changed from the last session (and were double checked for compatibility) and even though it was re-seated several times to verify camera communication. Luckily, I had a spare I was able to pull into service. (Just purchased another spare to hold in reserve) I feel that with the reasonable price of these units, my old one gave me good life before it gave me issues. If having reliable equipment is important to you, I recommend that you also have a spare transmitter and receiver in your arsenal.

I recently got an AD100 Pro flash for my R bodies and I also got a Custom Design bracket to mount the flash. I started with the XPro trigger but it was hard to see the top of it with the bracket right on top. So I got one of these and I didn't want the touchscreen nano version. This one is perfect. Simple operation, easy to read display on the back, and in addition to that, the ability to mount another flash or even the AD100 pro on top of this, making it almost like an oncamera flash. Happy with the purchase.

Has anyone managed to get the flash to work with ...

Has anyone managed to get the flash to work with an iPhone 12 Pro Max (or any 11-12 iPhone) via Bluetooth? It feels like the flash fires exactly when I take the picture, but it's not in the resulting image. Maybe it's Apple's Deep Fusion, which stitches the image together from multiple frames and throws out the frame with the flash.

At this time, the Godox app has only been confirmed to work with the iPhone X or older.
