I'm using this trigger with the Godox V860iii for Canon. It works just fine, no issues and it's very lightweight and easy to operate. Since users have reported an issue with the hot shoes coming loose and being expensive to repair on Canon's R6 and R5 cameras, using a flash trigger like this with off-camera flash is probably best practice. Of course, shooting with the flash mounted on-camera usually gives the worst result anyway. BTW, the hot shoe on my R5 has not come loose.

Excellent for events

I also have the pro version which I like better in the studio But this one is better for event IMO because it is smaller and I can use on camera flash with it when I need to

Wish it played well with others

It works great with my Godox flash. Like the TTL and manual controls from the unit. I don't get why the hot shoe top doesn't work with non-godox products. I have an older wireless flash trigger and Nikon flash that I could run off the hot shoe on top of the trigger unit, except it simply doesn't work with it. That's also the reason I had to buy this unit in the first place, because the Godox flash would not fire when attached to my old receiver. Feels more like a proprietary choice than anything else.

Great Way to Use the Flash Remotely on My Pana G85

I wanted a way to set my flash up separate from my Pana G85 so I could shoot with light on a subject from a different angle. That certainly works. I found a better use by shooting wildlife with just the flash close to the subject.

Has anyone managed to get the flash to work with an iPhone 12 Pro Max (or any 11-12 iPhone) via Bluetooth? It feels like the flash fires exactly when I take the picture, but it's not in the resulting image. Maybe it's Apple's Deep Fusion, which stitches the image together from multiple frames and throws out the frame with the flash.

At this time, the Godox app has only been confirmed to work with the iPhone X or older.

You would need to add the Godox X1R-S TTL Wireless Flash Trigger Receiver for Sony to the HVL-F60M flash to fire it from the X2T-S. http://bhpho.to/2X0htLn

For Sony, can I put my Godox-for-Sony speed lights on top in the hot shoe, or do I have to put my V860 for Canon there? In other words, is the hot shoe universal, or for Sony?
Asked by: Rod
Yes. Any flash can be applied does not need to be a flash that offers a multishoe.
