An ideal lens for portraiture, the Sony E-mount AF 85mm f/1.4 from Rokinon is a short telephoto prime distinguished by its bright f/1.4 maximum aperture. This fast design, while benefitting its use in low light, also affords notable control over depth of field for selective focus applications. The optical design features four high refractive index elements, which help to reduce spherical aberrations and distortion in order to realize high sharpness and clarity. One extra-low dispersion element is also featured, which controls color fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to realize a high degree of clarity and color accuracy. Individual elements also feature an Ultra Multi-Coating, which suppresses flare and ghosting for greater contrast in strong lighting. Complementing the optical design is an Ultrasonic Dual Linear motor, and an internal focusing design, which offers fast and quiet autofocus performance. Additionally, a rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to pleasing bokeh quality.

Rokinon 85mm f/1.4 AF Reviews
Impressive.
Sharp across the frame. Good A/F on Sony A7R3 although it occasionally hunts to find focus point. Nice bokeh. Altogether a great budget priced lens.
A Really Good Lens
I bought this as a gamble. I thought that this was going to be, if anything, a great potential lens for my B cam during interviews. Little did I know that this would become my favorite RF lens I've used. The autofocus is fast and very accurate; this has become my go to B-Roll lens and a must for every shoot I've been on. Even though I do way more video than photo. This is a fantastic lens for photos, portraits, weddings, and much more. It's light, versatile, and sharp; I cannot recommend this lens enough

Must have lens
Seriously impressed from a serious skeptic! I didn't know how this lens would do, but dang! There's so much character, and the quality was really impressive for the price. Recommend for pictures and videos. Great lens.
Just Amazing
I can not be happier with this lenses. I have had searched a lot about what would be the best 85mm for my Canon R6, I could not justifying pay over 3.5k in EU to buy the canon RF 85 1.2 non DS as the DS is 3.9k. So I saw many reviews about this lenses and I was very happy with it. Bought my one and I am so happy, the lens is gorgeous built, looks like L lenses. The biult quality is very very premium. and the IQ is just a mind blow for the price of this lens. It is just perfect, very quick AF, it comes with the new firmware updated, So The IBIS is working perfect as The AF speed. So if you dont make a good money with photography buy this lens, you will be surprise with how amazing is the IQ and the AF with this Rokinon 85mm RF 1.4.
Great lens... Lousy lens hood. But still an awesome lens!
This is a GREAT lens! Great bokeh, works flawlessly with IBIS on my Canon R6. The lens arrived with the latest software update. Really dissapointed with the lens hood. It doesn't lock in place and falls off. Quick cheap fix: Buy a 77mm screw on lens hood ($11). Now it's my go to lens for portraits, including fast action children photos.
Great Lens, poor lens hood
I purchased this lens due to the various reviews and its very favorable ratings among the many reviewers I have followed. I have one complaint and that is the lens hood falls off and doesn't lock into position. The first time I went out for a photowalk the hood fell off and I didn't see it until I raised the camera about 100 yards away. I retrieved the hood and now have to use tape to keep it on. I have written to Rokinon and have not received a reply in a week. Other than the hood I am very happy with the lens.
