Weighing in at only 11.1 oz, the aluminum DSLR/Smartphone Handheld Stabilized Tripod tripod from SWITCHPOD provides a lightweight, tabletop tripod and handheld solution for your DSLR, smartphone, or small camera. Its quick-switch design allows you to change from tripod to handheld and back in no time with its swiveling leg style, and it uses magnets to connect the legs together.
The legs feature built-in finger grooves to provide comfort when handholding, and they have large slots which keep it light, help its stability, and make it easy to strap onto a bag or carabiner for transport. The bottom of each leg features non-slip padding to keep the tripod stable and to protect surfaces.
The tripod features a 1/4"-20 camera mounting screw to connect your camera directly or a tripod head with a 1/4"-20 mounting thread. The camera mount also features a soft, circular pad to protect your equipment. The legs feature two 1/4"-20 threads, so you can mount a monitor, microphone, light, or other accessories. The tripod has been tested with up to a 100 lb load, so it can handle your camera as well as its included accessories.

SwitchPod SwitchPod Reviews
Best on the go tripod (for me)
I have several tripods including the Joby tripods but the issue always was I had to balance the legs and it would take an extra minute or so & I would be worried the image was not balanced, which is why I love this SwitchPod tripod so much! It can fold pretty flat and fit into my messenger bag with minimal space. I do recommend getting a ball head adapter to make it even more versatile. This is another piece of gear I just keep in my bag at all times now.
Sad little tripod, but great ball head.
I bought this little table top tripod, because it is made of solid metal. But when I tried to use it I had problems with stability. The biggest problem is due to pain in my fingers and hands trying to tighten the camera mount knob. Everything I did with this tripod hurt my hands. So sadly I will have to return it, but keep the ball head. I still think B & H is the best! Yes I am an older photographer. But I love the ball head, and use it on my other tripods.
Cool basic pod
This pod is well thought out. The Build quality is solid and all parts move nicely together. I like all aspects of the pod and the option to add a head. I tried their ball head which I sort of like (reviewed separately), but there is some room for improvement. The pod comes in an awesome storage box. A padded bag would be nice. My only complaint is the the price to performance ratio. For as basic as this is, I find it to be over-priced. This - to me - is kind of like buying an iPhone instead of an Android smart phone. Part of what you are paying for is 'cool factor.' But it does what it is designed to do well, and you can't argue, it looks cool.
Practical, Fast, Efficient, Rugged, & Transportable
I totally love the switch pod and ball head-no hyperbole. It's quick to use, which compels me to want to make more videos. I bought the Sennheiser phone clamp with a hot-shoe so I can put my mic and phone on it. It works well. My camera is on the way, but as I handle this tripod, there is no doubt that it's stable enough to handle a larger camera and mic, too. One of the cool features is that I can grab and go, not having to worry about extending the legs-a typical tripod. It's a quick setup, whether I'm holding it in hand or placing it on something. I also like the durability-a rugged but comfortable build. Well done. - Rick Thomas
Sturdy small tripod
It's made out of metal. Feels sturdy as soon as you pick it up. Easily folds up, and can be used as a quasi, run-and-gun, handheld device, keeping your actual hands off the camera, therefor minimizing vibration. I only wish it had a small ball head,
Game changer!
This is a game changer! Love it omg!
Sturdy for a moderately heavy projector
I didn't want to permanently mount my projector with a ceiling or wall mount so that I could move it to different rooms, and focused on finding a tripod mount. Big thumbs up for this item. No sliding or shaking at all with the rubber feet keeping it firmly in place. The ball head stays solidly in place. The only thing I ensure doing is if the projector leans in any direction to have a leg pointing in the same direction as that lean.
A tripod worth every penny
Absolutely perfect for using your phone as a webcam, shooting video from your desk, or doing handheld video. High quality solid metal build, stable, easy to use, and versatile. I'd recommend spending a bit more on this and not wasting $20 on the cheap alternatives with flexible legs. This saves so much time and aggravation from having to readjust. Oh, and save some money buy buying from B&H over Amazon!
