Samyang AF 24mm f/2.8 FE Lens for Sony E

A versatile wide-angle prime for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, the Samyang AF 24mm f/2.8 FE is an especially compact, lightweight lens well-suited for travel, landscape, and street photography. The optical design incorporates three aspherical elements and two high refractive index elements to suppress spherical aberrations, which help to realize a high degree of sharpness and clarity throughout the aperture range. An Ultra Multi-Coating has also been applied to control flare and ghosting for increased contrast when working in strong lighting conditions. The lens's autofocus motor works in conjunction with Sony cameras' AF systems for quick and precise focusing performance, and manual focus override is also available for more refined control.

Compact wide-angle prime is designed for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, however can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a 36mm equivalent focal length.
Maximum f/2.8 aperture helps to achieve the slim, portable form factor while also remaining versatile for use in a variety of lighting conditions.
Three aspherical elements and two high refractive index elements help control spherical aberrations and distortions for improved sharpness, resolution, and clarity.
An Ultra Multi-Coating has been applied to individual elements in order to reduce flare and ghosting for increased contrast and a neutral color balance.
The integrated autofocus motor works in conjunction with Sony cameras' focusing systems for quick, accurate, and precise AF control. Manual focus override is also available for refining your focus position.
Internal focusing design maintains the overall lens length and prevents the front of the lens from rotating during use.
Seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh quality.
Included lens hood helps to block stray light from causing flare and ghosting.

Fine-tune lens performance with this Lens Station for Samyang Sony E-mount autofocus lenses. Used in conjunction with Samyang's Lens Manager software for Mac and Windows, this console connects to Sony E lenses at the bayonet mount and permits customization over focus and aperture parameters, calibration, and lens's firmware can also be updated.

I got this to put on an old Sony A6000 that I hadn't shot for a while since I'd upgraded to full frame. Takes lovely photos, works well, and makes a nice compact package. Reminds me why I liked the A6000.

In the world of zoom meetings and blogs, this lens has been exceptional. It's a little darker than I like for a prime, but for the price it can't be beat. Ultimately, I use this on my 873 and 874 on a daily basis. I don't like the idea of buying a 2.8 zoom to cover this wide, so this has been very handy. I have this paired with the 28-70 mm Sony lens for basic video shooting, and I'll add in the tampon 35-150 as soon as it's available. That is a strangely great lens combo for video and pictures I shoot.

A light and versatile lens for on the go photography. For those in a budget, this lens will not disappoint you. I won't say this lens is the greatest, but it takes some pretty sharp photos.

I have zoom lenses that give me this coverage, but I needed a light lens I could put on a light gimbal for biking video shots. This lens works perfectly. Very small, light and sharp. Perfect for me needs!

This lens may or may not be up to date regarding firmware, it is very difficult to tell, as firmware updates happen continually. Using the dock is your best bet.
