The pinhole is large enough to see through the viewfinder and small enough to give a great pinhole look.

It even does not fit correctly in the bayonet mount. nothing great about it it cannot even be used as a body cap as it has a pinhole. Genuine waste of money.

With some practice you can get pretty good results. Vignetting can be intense on full frame sensor, shooting in HDR helps. Has some purple halo in the sun which might be due to reflections of the red circle(?) I am going to try and cover it with black tape to see if that helps but it sort of adds a cool film/light leak effect. I shoot in Aperture priority and use the ISO to adjust the shutter speed. The cool option with shooting pinhole on digital is that you can use high ISO to go hand held, but it's noisy so for best results you will still want to use a tripod. Seems a bit expensive for the intended use, I would have been happy with plastic at half the cost.

Instead of making my own pinhole lens using aluminum foil, etc. I chose to purchase this lens, mostly because I was worried that my home-made lens might damage the mirror or other parts of the camera. The lens seems sturdy. Delivery was prompt. I attached the lens but I was unable to press the shutter down and make my photo. I emailed Thingyfy about this problem and received an answer a few hours later. They told me that I had to change the setting to shoot without a lens, and they also gave me advice regarding other settings. They advised to start with 6400 ISO and a 10 sec shutter speed. Their customer service couldn't have been more helpful! The attached photo was taken at 6400 ISO and a much faster than recommended shutter speed--1/4 sec--I didn't want to get my tripod out:) ! One second would have been better. One addition: this happens to have an extreme wide angle which will take me some time to get used to

Great fun and great product!

This Thingyfy pinhole attachment is wonderful. Works beautifully and takes fabulous pictures. There was a blip at the beginning when I and spouse couldn't find any instructions online on how to get the camera to recognize the no-lens and still shutter away. Finally went to camera store and two workers there found it - in the XT2 instructions. I have an XT20. It also arrived safely and quickly to my Canadian address in Ontario via courier, always a concern when ordering out of country. That was a relief. So, well worth the price! I'm sure you'll enjoy the results.

I've done pinhole film photography for fifty years, but now I love doing digital pinhole photography (PP). Post processing expands the creativity of PP, and allows a whole new range of expression. The lens is well made and the pinhole is laser drilled making it very smooth and exact. Plus it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Well-machined pinhole plate. Does the job. Pair with a UV filter to prevent dust intrusion into camera body.
