The gear doesnt come with a pole. I bought a hreen screen backdrop that has two tripods that have a pole that is connected on the top. I put the gear on that pole and yes it can spin easy but when you tighten the screws it wont spin. Its working out very good for me because the green screen kit is adjustable and it was inexpensive.
