Adopting a popular, easy-to-use form factor, the Forza 300 LED Monolight from NanLite has a daylight color temperature of 5600K with a high CRI/TLCI of 98/95, indicating accuracy in color rendition. The 12 x 8 x 5.6" fixture weighs just 5.1 lb, making it a welcome addition to your kit, while its 55-degree reflector allows it to output 29,440 lumens.

The Forza 300 is cooled by a quiet fan and is dimmable from 0 to 100%. One of the light's benefits is its AC/DC power options. The light is ready for worldwide use thanks to its 110 to 240 VAC power supply, but it can also run on two optional 14.8V batteries when mains current is unavailable. Run time is approximately one hour at full power. The Forza 300 ships with a yoke and 5/8" receiver that accepts industry-standard light stands.

Bright Output
With the included reflector, the Forza 300 outputs an impressive 4073 lux at 9.8'. With dimming from 100 down to 0%, you can quickly adapt the Forza 300 to any scene without adding ND filters or diffusion.
Lightweight, Compact Design
Created to eliminate the difficulties of traveling with large light fixtures, the Forza 300 weighs only 5.1 lb and is compact enough to be easily packed into most gear cases.
Accurate Color
The brightness of a light is important, but without color accuracy, a lot of time and money will be lost in post-production. The Forza 60 features a CRI of 98 and a TLCI of 95, meaning you can shoot with confidence knowing the color reproduction will be precise.
Quick Change Modifier Mount
To keep up with the speed of production NanLite kept the Forza 300's modifier mount is fast and simple and uses a Bowen's mount. With one push of a button and a quarter turn you can swap out any of the specifically designed NanLite light modifiers.
Practical Effects
With pre-programmed special effects in a simple-to-master menu system, the Forza makes it easy to imitate lighting scenarios that can otherwise be tricky to recreate. At the touch of a button, you can simulate the lighting effects of lightning, a TV screen, a flash, and a flickering light bulb.
Power Anywhere
Optimized for use in the studio or on location, the Forza 300 can run off either the included AC adapter or two 14.8V batteries, so you can operate in any location regardless of power availability.
Satellite Control and Power Station
To keep a low center of gravity and the controls easily accessible, the Forza 300's control panel, AC adapter, and battery plate have been combined into one satellite unit easily hung from any light stand. The satellite also serves as the DMX connection point enabling the Forza 300 to be quickly adapted to any DMX-controlled environment.
Studio and Location Ready
Supplied with a standard 5/8" receiver mount, the Forza 300 can be mounted directly on any standard light stand, while the 330-degree rotating yoke makes it easy to adjust an angle or hang the light from the ceiling for studio use. Also, thanks to the Forza 300's active, quiet fan, it's suitable for sound-sensitive situations.

Nanlite Forza 300 Reviews

Exactly what I wanted

I was between this light and the aputure 300d II. Either would have been great, I went with the Forza because, on sale, I was able to buy the Forza 300 (key light) and a 60b (fill/hair light) for just under the price of one 300d II. I'm fortunate to have access to an aputure 300d II to compare. The quality of light/output and build on the Nanlight Forza series is just as good if not better in some regards.

Forza 300 or Forza 300B?

I love Nanlite's Pavotubes, especially the new ones, and their MixPanel and MixPads are wonderful for ease of rigging with a soft quality but I find myself continuing to stock up on Forza, all the way from the 60 to the 500 (can't wait for the 1200). Having just purchased another Forza 300, and Forza 300B I wanted to point out what absolute legends they are. Definitely check out the new Nanlite USA website for improved color and photometrics info. I checked their measurements and they seems right on. With the included reflector, at a distance of 3 m/ 9.84 feet with an ISO of 800 at 1/48th of a second: the Forza 300B produces f11 at 5600K and f11 at 3200K. The Forza 300 is brighter still at f16 . Both are bright enough to play directly as sunlight coming in a window , create backlight outside on an overcast day, and more than enough output to punch through diffusion, or bounce through a book light. The head only weighs around 5 pounds making it super easy to rig, and if you end up close enough for fan noise to be an issue you can switch the fan off and probably still have enough output for the scene. They are three stops brighter than an ARRI 750 open face, and a third of a stop brighter than an ARRI 2K open face and at a fraction of the wattage and heat. Compared to the equivalent Aputure 300W unit the Forza 300B is one stop brighter, has better color accuracy and is cheaper. The ballast is a huge advantage as it is separate from the head so its weight may be placed on the included hanger to keep it off the ground or can be set flat on the floor with the controls still in easy view. A lot of thought seems to have gone into upgrading the user interface so it can recall frequently used settings quickly. With the AC adapter removed and two V-Mount batteries in place it will run at full output for an hour, and considerably longer than that when dimmed down. As for whether to buy a Forza 300 or Forza 300B: if you're doing narrative or beauty you're going to want the bi-color Forza 300B for its ability to produce 2700K to 6500K balance. If you do a lot of event or corporate where you're working daylight balanced most of the time anyway you can save money and go with the brighter, daylight only Forza 300. A piece of CTO gel will convert that to tungsten and match the brightness of the Forza 300B anyway.

This puppy is powerful, even at 10% power. Great carry bag too. I use this as my main light for product photography and YT Videos.

Forza 300: This light has excellent punch and provides accurate color fidelity. High quality construction that has a sturdy feel and is lightweight as well. I shoot videos both in studio and on-location and must have reliable equipment for my type of work, Forza 300 has exceeded my requirements! I considered the Godox VL300, and Aputure 300D II and decided to get the Nanlite Forza 300 due to superior color quality, brighter output, optional 16ft power lead, much better Fresnel design. Additionally Forza 300 can run on one 14v battery at half power or can use two 14v batteries up to full power! The Forza 300 is an unbeatable value for quality, versatility, price and power output...

Forza 300 Does It All!

I use the Forza 300 for a lot of different uses inside and outside. From a key and fill light for interviews and narrative to an edge light. It has enough punch in some occasions to shoot through a window as motivated sun light or moon light. It's really amazing that this day in age LEDs have gotten so powerful and this light is very bright for just about anything I do and it can run on a pair of batteries. The menu is easy to use and now the app has been released I can use my phone to control the light along with my other Nanlite fixtures. Just an FYI, you will need their transmitter to use the new app as the Forza 300 doesn't have Bluetooth. The app is amazing and the transmitter WS-TB-1 is very small and under ninety dollars, I'm going to order that next. 10 out of 10, the Nanlite Forza 300 is the best!

This is a great alternative to the Aputure brand. A few things to keep in mind though is that the reflection feels cheap and is dented easily, the stand adapter is poorly made and breakable. (Im on my second one and it recently broke. The fan is pretty loud to me. Other than that, the light is decent for its price.

I got this light after being on set for a music video in which they only used this light, the end results of the video was amazing enough that I had to purchase one for me. Looks great, very very sturdy. I just wish the cable was a bit longer but that's fine.

So happy!!!

I knew I'd have to do more product videos and photos for work in 2022 so I decided to up my lighting kit with a couple more powerful LEDs. I decided to get a Forza 300B and Forza 300. I want the option of bicolor with the Forza 300B but honestly a lot of my work is mixed with window/daylight so having the Forza 300 works great and it's more powerful than the 300B in terms of intensity so this way I can mix and match based on what I need. They are both so much better than my previous lights with some great light quality. Excited to use them in 2022!

The best thing to do is purchase the fresnel for the Forza 300 the FL-20. However, since the Forza 300 has a Bowens S mount, the LS120 and any other Bowens S mount accessories will fit
