SKAARHOJ PTZ Fly Overview

Get fingertip control of PTZ camera movement with the PTZ Fly from SKAARHOJ. Featuring an industrial-precision hall-effect joystick, this compact controller makes it easy to pan, tilt, and rotate your cameras. Also featured are four backlit encoder knobs with wide-screen OLED displays and six programmable four-way multifunction keys for presets and camera selection.

The PTZ Fly runs the SKAARHOJ-developed open-source UniSketch OS, which is user-programmable to fit specific workflows. PoE technology simplifies setup by enabling signals and power to travel via a single cable.

It depends on your camera model. Check Skaahoj website for Device Cores list and find your camera model there. https://www.skaarhoj.com/support/device-cores For my particular Panasonic PTX AW-HEx models, the PTZ Fly can control 8 cameras (tho I only have 4).

Will this pan, tilt and zoom at the same time ...

Will this pan, tilt and zoom at the same time with a PTZoptics camera? The Huddlecam joystick I have now you can only do one at a time so it’s robotic and not very smooth.

It does not allow simultaneous pan, tilt and zoom with PTZ Optics cameras.

Can this unit operate Avipas AV-1081W cameras connected through the RJ45/lan connection? ? Thanks.

Based on the protocol specs available, there should be no issues with operating the camera using this controller. However, we highly recommend verifying with the manufacturer on their supported cameras, as oftentimes, with PTZ workflows, there may be some additional aspects to consider.
