Perfect for cold days when you need to adjust your camera or phone. They can also be worn under the Heat Company Shell Mittens during very cold weather.

Great fit, super comfortable

I got these for a winter photo trip to New Mexico, with temperatures in the teens and 20's. Even though these are the warmest liner gloves offered by Heat Co., they are not as warm as I expected. They definitely should be worn with their outer gloves as well, but I chose not to order those. Even so, I was warm enough on most days. They are very well made and fit, well, like a glove!

Good for moderate Canadian cold

Used these at -18C (about -2F) and they worked well, but only if used with the Heat Company gloves. Both items ran me about $160 but considering I have to deal with the cold for 2-3 months, it's a great investment. I could have spent more on warmer combinations, but the price was right for the protection it affords at these temperatures. Not sure how many times I'd be outside shooting in anything much colder. So I'd put the comfort limit of these gloves (with mitten) at about 0F (-15C). I'd say that you could wear these and not have cold hands for a good 30 minutes, all while touching metal cameras, tripod grips, etc. If you work regularly in colder temps, get something warmer.

Fingers frozen at 49 degrees.

We bought 2 pairs of these gloves as we have been looking for photo gloves for several years and these looked very promising especially due to the Polartec and Merino Wool. My wife and I went out to shoot a high school football game and the temperature was 49 degrees Fahrenheit. Both of our hands were painfully cold within 20 minutes. B and H were very helpful and sent a return authorization. We did have to pay for the FedEx ground shipping to return them. The controls were easy to operate on the cameras until we could no longer feel our fingers. Still looking for gloves.

Purchased these before last winter. as its starting to get cold again I started using them again. I've noticed the touch capability is mostly gone. I still like the glove and it performs well except this shortcoming

These liners are warm, well constructed and have a number of desirable features. Touch screen finger tips, sleeves for chemical hand warmers and rings to clip them together/to your pack or gear. I ordered a pair of Heat 2 mittens in a size larger to go over these and really provide warmth/protection.

I am planning a trip to Svalbard. Since I was in NYC in October, I decided to swing by B&H and try out the various sizes of the gloves. There were two inner liners that interested me. The Polartech Merino and the Polartech Pro Liner. The former came in dual sizes (e.g. 8-9) while the latter came in single sizes (e.g. 9). I did not care for the Pro Liner. It is a thicker liner but it is not very good with touch screens. The Merino was much better. However, the Pro Liner's size 9 fit perfectly but the Merino Liner's 8-9 was a bit too tight. I ended up buying the Merino Liner's size 10-11. The larger size was more comfortable but with the exception of the index and thumb, the finger lengths were a bit long for the other fingers. If the Heat Company had made the single size 9 for the Merino liner, that would have been perfect for me. Anyway, I decided to buy the 10-11. In photography, I use the index finger and the thumb so having the length of the other fingers a bit long was not an issue.
