Ideal for mobile interviews, vlogs, and podcasts, the Apogee Electronics ClipMic digital is a professional-quality lavalier microphone combining technologies from two prestigious companies, and giving you a fantastic sound as a result. If you're an on-the-go recordist or content creator, use this lapel mic for an easy setup and a stellar sound.

The mic is designed for iOS devices, connecting with an Apple MFi-cerified Lightning connector, and using Sennheiser's well-regarded ME 2 for the capsule. Conversion is handled by Apogee's famous 96 kHz/24-bit converters, which should speak to the quality of this device. A windscreen, a mic clip, and a carrying pouch are included.

Easy to Use

ClipMic digital is suitable for anyone who wants a simple setup to record podcasts, presentations, interviews, or meetings directly to their compatible iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Record in Sonic Style

With its Sennheiser capsule, Apogee conversion, and iOS compatibility, the mic ensures you can capture professional-quality audio during interviews, vlogs, podcasts, or even on-location events such as concert recitals.

Everything You Need to Get Started

The ClipMic digital connects to your compatible iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch via its Apple MFi-certified Lightning connector, and includes a mic clip for convenient placement on your subject. Simply connect the mic to your iOS device and append it to a lapel to get started. A 5.2' cable with Apple MFi-certified Lightning connector ensures convenient functionality with an array of iOS devices. When you're not using the mic, you can store it and transport it in the included carrying pouch.

Broadcast-Quality Specifications

The mic makes use of a Sennheiser ME 2 condenser capsule, which has an omnidirectional polar pattern to ensure consistent audio pickup and minimal proximity effect. What does this mean? Placement on your person or on a subject is relatively easy. The supplied metal windscreen reduces wind and breath noise while protecting the microphone's diaphragm. An integrated Apogee ADC delivers pristine signal conversion at up to 24-bit / 96 kHz resolution-the same specifications used throughout pro-recording environments.

Pairs Well with DSLRs

Utilize your iOS device as a flexible tool for film production. When paired with DSLR video cameras, the ClipMic digital and an iOS device make capturing professional-quality productions simple and efficient

Included Apps

Customize settings for the ClipMic digital via the free Maestro app. Utilize the free MetaRecorder to enjoy powerful recording functions and more via your mobile device. You can even export files for use in other programs such as Final Cut Pro.

question

Is this the only mic with lightning connector?
Asked by: Steve
This may be the only lav with a lightning connector, although there is an adapter for lightning to 3.5 mm that may open up more choices. This model benefits from having an inline DAC and has excellent sound.
