It virtually eliminates spherical aberration in the objective lens system, especially at the edges. Uncorrected, this aberration causes blurry, defocused, and distorted areas in astrophotography or CCD images. The optics feature a 3-lens corrector system with a large 52mm diameter imaging circle and a 76.11 back focus distance. On the telescope side is an M68a thread; the camera side has an M68i thread. This field flattener is also compatible with Zeiss APQ refractor optical tubes.
