Use the 50mm square and unmounted Alpine Astronomical Baader UBVRI CCD Photometric Imaging Filter Set to capture images in a range of wavelengths from ultraviolet, through the visible spectrum, and to the high infrared range. Imaging the same object in specific wavelengths allows you to improve contrast and reveal details otherwise undetectable so you can mat and stack them in post and produce unique custom images of planets, galaxies, nebulae, and other astronomical phenomena.

Each glass filter is precision planeoptically polished for distortion-free throughput, and dielectrically coated to maximize transmission through it. The 50x50mm square filters are offered here unmounted for custom applications and imaging rigs.

Ultraviolet CCD Photometric Imaging U-Filter

Centered on the 360nm wavelength, its bandpass is located below the visual spectrum in the ultraviolet range, passing a wavelength the human eye cannot detect, but imaging sensors can, to produce unique custom images when used by itself or when stacking and layering with images captured in other wavelengths.

Blue CCD Photometric Imaging B-Filter

Centered on the 440nm wavelength, this blue filter is one of the three primary colors that are used along with red and green to produce custom composite pictures of celestial objects.

Green CCD Photometric Imaging V-Filter

Centered on the 550nm wavelength, this green filter is one of the three primary colors that are used along with blue and red to produce custom composite pictures of celestial objects.

Low Infrared Red CCD Photometric Imaging R-Filter

Centered on the 710nm wavelength, its bandpass is located slightly outside the visible spectrum, making this red filter one of the three primary colors that are used along with blue and green to produce custom composite pictures of celestial objects.

High Infrared CCD Photometric Imaging I-Filter

Centered on the 790nm wavelength, its bandpass is located high above the visual spectrum in the infrared range, passing a wavelength the human eye cannot detect but imaging sensors can, to produce unique custom images when used by itself or when stacking and layering with images captured in other wavelengths.
