While it draws just 400W, it outputs many times that number in tungsten equivalence. The MC400 has a white light color temperature of 2400-9900K and a high CRI of 95, indicating accuracy in color fidelity. It's also got RGBWW mixing modes, as well as +/- Green/Magenta control to give you access to the full 360-degree color gamut and literally millions of color combinations. Light intensity is variable too from 0 to 100% and while you can make color and dimming adjustments locally on the light, you can also make them remotely from a console via onboard DMX, or wirelessly using Wi-Fi. For fine tuning and linear output in specific situations, the MC400 also has four user-selectable dimming curves - Linear is a 1:1 translation, Exponential provides fine control in the low end, and Logarithmic provides fine control in the high end. The S-Curve is a combination of Exponential and Logarithmic.

Yet another handy feature is the filter library that contains more than 300 widely used filters that can be employed with no light loss, and since all the filters are built-in digitally, there are no gels to carry around. The MC400 also provides special effects such as Party, Candle, Club, Cop Car, Fire, Fireworks, Light Strobe, Lightning, and Television to add realism and creative flair to your shoot. Despite these eye-catching effects, the MC400 is seen but not heard, a benefit of its 8 ultra-quiet cooling fans - a real asset in sound-sensitive situations.

The MC400 is ready for worldwide use thanks to its included multi-voltage power adapter, but you can also run the light on batteries when mains power is unavailable via the panel's two V-mount battery plates.

Bright, Compact, Soft RGBWW Panel

The Rayzr MC 400 Max gives you superior performance in a thin, compact, and lightweight form factor. The 400W LED light is cooled efficiently by a quiet, active cooling system. RGBWW LEDs provide accurate color reproduction in white light and throughout the whole color spectrum for realistic lighting or to support your creative expression.

Rayzr 7's Brightest Soft Light

The Rayzr MC 400 Max has the same dimensions as the MC 200 but doubles its output by using 8 silent, active cooling fans to keep its 400W power output cool and controlled.

Battery Power Option

You can power the MC 400 with two standard 14.4V V-mount batteries when mains power is unavailable. Alternatively, you can use the provided 100 to 240 VAC adapter anywhere in the world.

Bring Consistency to Your Lighting

With Source Match you can make your lighting more consistent and save time in post fixing non-matching lights. A powerful light engine utilizes the strengths of RGBWW LEDs, enabling you to match any light source. Enter the x/y coordinates you measured, and the MC series will be a match, bringing consistency to your lighting.

Extended CCT Range

With an extended color temperature range from 2400 to 9900K in White-Light Mode you can adapt to any ambient light condition quickly.

+/- Green/Magenta Adjustment

Adjust to a tint in other lights easily with +/- green/magenta compensation.

Filter Library at Your Fingertips

The MC Panel gel library consists of more than 300 widely used filters available at your fingertips with no light loss, and since the filters are built-in digitally, no gels need to be carried around.

Fully Color Tunable RGBWW Light

Every available color is at your disposal. Select the color you need by HSI (Hue, Saturation, Intensity) values, x/y coordinates, RGBWW values, or by selecting a digital gel filter from a built-in filter library of more than 300 classic gels.

Lighting Effects

The MC series comes with a wide range of built-in adjustable lighting effects such as Party, Candle, Club, Cop Car, Fire, Fireworks, Light Strobe, Lightning, and Television.

400 to 20,000 Hz High-Speed Mode

Shoot at any frame rate and shutter angle without flicker. The base frequency of the MC series can be adjusted to provide flawless high-speed performance at any setting.

Accurate Color Reproduction

Use the RGBWW LEDs for color but also to improve white light. The MC series offers accurate color rendition throughout its entire adjustment range.

Truly Soft

A fixed diffuser and a wide beam angle result in uniform output and a truly soft light quality.

Wireless Control and DMX

With Wi-Fi and DMX built-in, the MC series is easy to control and integrates well into any environment.

Art-Net Compatible with RTX-1 Router

The RTX-1 router is the central piece to include Rayzr MC lights with other compatible lights into a wireless network that can be controlled by any Art-Net compatible software like Luminair 3 for iOS or Art-Net Controller for Android.

Quick Release Accessory System

A simple-to-use quick release accessory system lets you mount light shaping tools in a fast and stable way. Barndoors with extra-long leaves are included with every panel.

Dimming Curves

Four user-selectable dimming curves provide fine-grained control in specific situations: Linear is a 1:1 translation, Exponential provides fine control in the low end, whereas Logarithmic provides fine control in the high end. The S-Curve is a combination of Exponential and Logarithmic.

They simply ignore your emails. Doesn’t matter how many RMAs you open. I have 1 MC400 and two MC200. They all have issues. The units were under guarantee, once I first contacted them.

Got two of these and they’ve been fantastic. Great output, easy to battery power, light weight. Can’t wait for the soft box/intensifier/snap grip accessories to come out. The Rayzr sales team assures me that they’re coming soon

Following a long wait with high anticipation, we at Snakebyte Productions received our latest addition to our gear inventory....the Rayzr 7 MC 400 MAX RGB/WW/CW Soft LED Panel is now added to our program over here...!! and we are excited...new toy.... So far looks great and we will get back to you after some testing we will conduct, comparing our S-60c Skypanels, Westcott Flex Cine 1x2 RGBW flex mats, and our Litegear S2-L LiteMats... it will be fun to see the compare...... Only thing we find curious..... how do we get a chimera softbox and snap grid for it....possible intensifier, or other forms of modification.... B&H doesnt stock one we see in the accessories...so maybe Chimera hasnt designed one yet to fit the light?... anyone know anything about that?

Okay light

I like the light and it's versatility. It's power hungry on bricks. You need a lot of AMPS in your battery. My 190's would not power the light for more that a few minutes. The handle to adjust the yoke fell off after 3 or 4 uses. The TV setting is a little too strong. Even, dialed all the way down it's too much. I almost always use more diffusion with this light. Good for indoors. Not too much punch.

LIke a Skypanel S60 but lighter!

PROS: High output matching Arri Skypanel S60 in a significantly lighter package. Green/magenta + gels + effects. Removable barndoors are handy. CONS: Plan to buy a 4-pin XLR extension cable, the one connecting the power supply to the lamp head is quite short.  The control screen uses a pretty small font and is a little laggy. According to Newsshooter's tests, output will fluctuate depending on colour temperature setting. Full power output at 3200K is about 85% the full power output of 5600K. Fans are always on, regardless of dim level. I've used it on talking heads in studio, with the lamp at full power about 10' away from subject, with no complaints from our audio recordist. Concerned maybe in a small room it might be audible. 3-pin DMX ports are a strange choice that would require adapters to interface with standard 5-pin

The light is equipped with WiFi, but needs an external dongle to operate. That item is coming from Rayzr, but has not been released yet.
