The Trijicon IRMS-60-2 REAP-IR 4.5x60mm f/1.25 Mini Thermal Night Vision Riflescope is designed to give you the critical edge in the field without weighing you down or taking up valuable rail space on your rifle.

At its core is a 640 x 480 resolution uncooled VOx microbolometer and a 60mm f/1.25 lens system. It is outfitted with a native 4.5x optical magnification which is ideal when using it as a clip-on thermal sight with a conventional scope or by itself for close- to mid-range engagements, and with up to 8x digital zoom you are able to increase magnification to as much as 36x power for long-range use. Since the reticle is digitally represented on the in-view display, you can choose from five different configurations to match the situation or your preference. You can select white-hot or black-hot polarity, with the option to take still images and save them to the onboard memory or stream video to a monitor or other device via an RS-170 output port.

Protecting optics and electronics is a housing made of lightweight and durable 6061 aluminum alloy. It is also sealed to be waterproof and submersible so it can stand up to rain, snow, or an accidental drop in a stream or puddle. An integrated quick release Mini D-Loc Picatinny/Weaver rail mount makes removal and repeated remounting easy and convenient without sacrificing strength or stability. The sight also has a secondary Picatinny/Weaver rail on the top of the housing to mount accessories.

Performance

  • 4.5x optical magnification is ideal for close to mid-range use, and provides up to 36x power when combined with the system's digital zoom
  • Large 60mm f/1.25 lens system enables more detection area for the thermal sensor
  • Uncooled VOx (vanadium oxide) sensor
  • 640 x 480 resolution with 12µm pixel size
  • <50mK thermal sensitivity and 8-12µm spectral response
  • 60 Hz refresh rate, 30 Hz in power save mode
  • 640 x 480 digital OLED display with adjustable brightness & contrast
  • Selectable white-hot/black-hot display polarity with three intensity levels for each option, plus Edge Detect mode
  • Edge Detect Tactical Mode draws an outline of principle objects in the view at a fraction of the brightness of other modes so the user's eyes are not as prone to night blindness from the screen
  • Digital zoom with selectable magnification: 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x (as magnification increases, resolution decreases
  • 27mm eye relief provides a generous eye box—allowing for flexible mounting position on rail

Use & Handling

  • Multidirectional thumbstick control is easy to find and use in the dark
  • Digital Focus Control (DFC) allows the user to focus and sharpen the picture to reveal critical details
  • Digital Contrast Enhancement system improves the view for improved shot placement and easier target identification
  • Stadiametric rangefinder option lets the user estimate the distance to their target quickly and easily
  • -6/+2 dioptric correction enables focusing of the display
  • Five digital reticle options: Crosshair, German, modified ranging crosshair with circle/dot center, large crosshair, small broken cross
  • Four user-defined reticle/zero for use on different weapons or with different ammo loads
  • Analog RS-170 video output with optional cable
  • Capture up to 60 still images and save to onboard memory
  • View still images on the optic's onboard display
  • Auto display off is selectable at 3, 8, or 15 seconds to help conserve battery life
  • Fast five-second startup time
  • Runs on two CR123 batteries
