Offering a versatile wide-angle perspective, the GF 45mm f/2.8 R WR from FUJIFILM is a 36mm equivalent lens for the G-mount GFX camera system. With a slightly wider-than-normal field of view, this lens is ideal for everyday shooting and its f/2.8 maximum aperture suits working in difficult lighting conditions. Its optical design incorporates one aspherical element and two extra-low dispersion elements to reduce both spherical and chromatic aberrations for improved sharpness and clarity. A Nano GI coating has also been applied to individual elements to suppress lens flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color accuracy. Contributing to its flexibility, the lens also features a dust-, freeze-, and weather-resistant construction for use in inclement conditions. Additionally, a manual aperture ring is featured for intuitive, tactile adjustment over exposure settings, and a Command position can also be set for camera-based control over the aperture.

General wide-angle prime lens offers a 36mm equivalent focal length to realize a comfortable field of view for working with a variety of subjects.
Bright f/2.8 maximum aperture benefits working in low-light conditions as well as enables a high degree of control over depth of field.
One aspherical element reduces distortion and spherical aberrations for improved sharpness and clear rendering.
Two extra-low dispersion elements suppress chromatic aberrations and color fringing for greater color accuracy and clarity.
Nano GI coating Minimizes lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.
An internal focusing mechanism affords quick autofocus performance, maintains the overall length of the lens during operation, and also produces consistent optical performance throughout the focusing range.
Physical aperture ring allows for intuitive adjustment over exposure settings, and incorporates a C (Command) position to permit camera-based aperture setting.
Dust- and weather-sealed physical construction enables working in harsh climates and temperatures as low as 14°F.
Brass lens mount is durable and rigid for long-lasting use and mounting accuracy.
Rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

    GF 45mm f/2.8 R WR Lens is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet Lens for Environmental Portraits I’ve owned several 35mm full frame equivalent lenses and the Fujifilm GF 45mm f/2.8 R WR lens holds its own with the Zeiss, Leica and Nikon 35mm lenses I’ve bought and sold. The GF45 captures scenes in their full natural brilliance even in poor light. When paired with the GFX 50s, the GF45 offers a compact design, that is fast, has precise focusing and offers high-performing versatility that is well suited for environmental portraits, photojournalism, candid photography and low light landscape. The GF45 (35mmFF equivalent) is my preferred camera lens combo and I use it with the GFX 50s in most situations. Occasionally I may employ my only other lens, the GF 32-64 if I need to expand the focal range. When size restrictions prevail, I’ll use my only other camera, an X100F which is also a 35mm full frame equivalent and uses similar controls which increases familiarity. I’ve sold all my other photographic equipment and don’t plan to change for quite some time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sharpest you can buy Easily as sharp as phase one lenses I've used. Out of focus areas render perfectly. No CA at all anywhere in the frame.? Autofocus is quite fast for this lens, quicker then the 63mm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love the lens It is fast and compact lens if you consider it is a medium format lens. Very sharp at wide open. Beautiful bokeh. I wish it has f2 aperture but it is okay..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another fantastic Fujifilm lens I received my copy about a week ago and finally had the chance to take some photos, mostly of family at a party. I don’t use flash, so that means I tend to shoot lenses wide open - which stresses lenses on multiple fronts. This lens is very sharp and has great contrast. I noticed nothing that worried me such as drop off or fringing. Autofocus performance was consistent with the other GF lenses I have. My biggest surprise was that the lens isn’t as wide as I expected it be. Which has nothing to do with lens quality. It’s a very useful field of view, but I think I’m going to need the 23mm as well, because the 45mm won’t, for example, capture an entire room without backing way up (which isn’t always possible).
