The APL2341 L-Bracket/Half Cage from SmallRig is made to custom fit the Sony a7 III and a7R III cameras with VG-C3EM vertical grip attached. It has Arca-type dovetails on each axis that allow you to mount the bracket vertically and horizontally into a compatible clamp. The aluminum bracket's side plate is machined to have access to the camera's ports and battery door, and the bottom plate has a slotted channel that allows you slide the L-bracket apart from the camera body to gain greater access to the camera.
Included with the bracket is a detachable top plate that attaches to the side plate to convert the L-bracket into a half cage. This provides multiple 1/4"-20 sockets to the side and top plate conveniently mount video accessories to the half cage. A locking hot shoe thumb wheel, which is also included, slides into the camera's hot shoe and tightens down to secure the top plate further to the camera body. Center marks are in the middle of each axis of the L-bracket for centering the camera on a mounted head, and an included hex spanner stores inside the bottom plate when not in use. An integrated strap lug is available on the bracket for hand or shoulder straps.
