Hi. is it possible to use this SpyderX studio to calibrate the DNP Dye-sublimation printers?
Asked by: pongpat
Yes, however, whether this can be accomplished with any degree of accuracy and predictability depends on the printer driver for the printer. If you can turn off color management in the printer driver then you can print a "clean" (un-color-managed) target. This will allow you to create an accurate profile. Then your workflow would have the image coming from Photoshop, Lightroom, or some other program that allows you to choose the correct printer profile within that software and turn color management off in the printer driver so that the image is not double color managed.

Is this system fully operational under Monterey 12.2 running on an M1Max-based MacBook Pro? Thanks, Pete

I got mine for the same Mac. Not working. Tried all the usb connectors, with original apple adapter. Tried talking with the company and doing all the steps they've recommended. Nothing works.

Is this system fully compatible with Mac OS 12.5.1 (Monterey), or later, running on an M1Max-based MacBook Pro? (In January, I asked about use under Mac OS 12.2 - and was given an evasive answer. Pete

The company Claims that it works. I use a new MBP Max M1, with an original Apple adapter from the usb-c to the old usb (The kit comes with USB connector and an adapter to micro-usb, no usb-c). The computer and the SpyderX won't talk. I opened ticket with the company, they sent me technical instructions which I followed. That enabled the computer to recognise the device once only, for the registration process - but when I tried to continue and do the actual calibration, Nada, garnisht mit gurnisht. Unfortunately, I so far can't recommend this to M1 users.
