Comfortably walking the line between compact and full-sized models, the Meopta 10x32 B1.1 MeoStar Binoculars combine well-engineered optics with a lightweight and easy-to-manage housing to produce an optic well suited for just about any glassing task—from sightseeing to hunting to birding to general nature watching. Their smaller MeoBright fully multi-coated 32mm objective lenses and Schmidt-Pechan prisms help to produce a compact form factor that delivers the performance of larger models with vivid true-color images that are bright and crisp across the entire wide field of view. The lenses are also precision ground to present a flat view that makes scanning expansive terrain easy and comfortable without edge distortion that can cause disorientation. For those who like to watch birds at nearby feeders or observe small insects and flowers, the MeoStar is outfitted with a short close focus distance that makes these activities easy.

Meopta designed the binoculars with ergonomics in mind to minimize user fatigue during long observations. The housing is made from a lightweight and durable aluminum alloy with protective rubber armor on the body that provides a slip-resistant grip. Design details like raised dimpled palm pads and underside thumb indentations further improve grip stability and comfort. The housing is nitrogen filled and sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging in extreme conditions. A large center focusing wheel is easy to use with either hand and an improved locking dioptric correction dial, located on the focusing knob, ensures precise focusing even if you normally wear corrective eyeglasses.

Optical Performance

  • Size straddles the line between compact and full-size to offer improved performance of the former without the associated bulk and weight of the latter
  • High 10x power magnifies the view with a wide field of view and long eye relief to greatly improve the user's experience
  • 32mm objective lenses offer better low-light performance versus compact models
  • Schimdt-Pechan roof prism design corrects the view while allowing for thinner optical tubes versus the more common Abbe-Koenig design, maintaining optical performance in a more compact chassis
  • Flat field of view makes side-to-side panning and scanning smooth and distortion-free, resulting in clearer views and less user disorientation
  • Proprietary ion-assisted MeoBright 5501 multi-coatings deliver 99.8% light transmission while suppressing glare
  • MeoShield anti-scratch coating protects lenses from scratches or abrasions
  • Short 5' close focus distance enables extremely detailed observations of fauna, flora, insects, and bugs, as well as watching birds at nearby feeders
  • Wide 64° apparent angle of view provides sweeping views of the terrain
  • Generous 334-foot field of view at 1000 yards

Use and Handling

  • Closed-bridge configuration provides a solid and stable platform for the internal focusing mechanism
  • Large slip-resistant center focusing knob with ±3 dioptric correction dial is easy to manipulate in cold and wet conditions, even while wearing gloves
  • Locking diopter sets the desired correction against accidental movement
  • Wide 56-75mm interpupillary adjustment range
  • Twist-up rubber eyecups for easy use with or without eyewear
  • Comfortable 16.3mm eye relief reduces eyestrain during long glassing sessions
  • 3.2mm exit pupil
