With a 5.5" touchscreen color display and a 1MP camera, the charcoal Amazon Echo Show 5 uses video capabilities to expand on traditional Alexa functionality. Equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi and two microphones, the Echo Show connects to your home's wireless network and allows you to intuitively play music, video chat with friends, check the weather and traffic anywhere in the US, hear sports scores, watch videos, and more.

The built-in microphones allow the Echo Show 5 to respond to your voice via its 1.65", 4W driver; with Amazon Alexa built-in, you can ask the Echo Show 5 for the weather and traffic details for your commute, among other things. Bluetooth is also on-board, enabling the Echo Show 5 to wirelessly pair and play audio from a variety of audio sources, such as smartphones and tablets, or to output to your compatible Bluetooth speaker. It also features an 1/8" audio output that allows you to use external wired speakers.

Note:
Hands-free voice control is not supported for Mac OS X devices. Bluetooth speakers requiring PIN codes are not supported. Does not support connecting to ad-hoc (or peer-to-peer) Wi-Fi networks.

Connect with Your Favorite People
The Echo Show 5 allows you to make video calls to friends and family who have the Alexa app, another screen-equipped Echo device, or Skype. You can also instantly connect to other compatible Echo devices in your home to make a quick announcement.
Privacy Control
Multiple privacy layers are onboard. For example, your voice is streamed to the cloud only after your device detects the wake word ("Alexa"). You can also turn the microphone and camera off with the press of a button, and the built-in shutter lets you physically cover the camera.
Manage Your Smart Home Devices
With the Echo Show 5 and Alexa, you can manage compatible smart home devices on the interactive display or with your voice. Control lights and switches, set thermostats, view security cameras, and more.

Accessibility Features
With the Echo Show 5, you can enable Alexa captioning and closed captioning, magnify the screen, toggle color inversion, and choose between color correction options. You can also enable the VoiceView screen reader to use gestures to navigate the screen and hear spoken feedback about the items you select.

The microphone sensitivity is a little bit disappointing or I would give it a 5 I'm not sure if that can be fixed (in the future) with a firmware update. In the meantime, I'm going to keep shouting at Alexa.
