Use this Outrigger NATO Handle from SmallRig to comfortably handhold your DSLR or mirrorless camera and add extension arms and additional accessories.

The aluminum handle attaches to your camera cage with its NATO clamp, and it has a NATO rail on the top crossbar to connect accessories like a light, microphone, or wireless transmitter. The NATO rail also features a spring-loaded pin to prevent your accessories from sliding when mounted. The handle and crossbar feature multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads to mount additional accessories.

Does what its supposed to do, but overpriced

I knew the limitations of this before purchasing, but not much out there to work with a half cage. The safety latch only covers one direction, so make sure to tighten. I wish there was a way to put a coldshoe on top of the handle. Lastly, it can be difficult to tighten without the camera or cage obstructing the knob. Not really worth the money.

Love it, like every SmallRig product!

I love this outrigger handle! I used it twice. Once on my Komodo, when I was shooting in vertical mode; the cage has NATO rails on the side, so the outrigger handle can go on top or bottom of the camera and can be hold 90 degrees easily.

Can you mount this for the left hand side on a red Komodo? I already have the red outrigger handle for the right hand side, need something for my left hand

I've heard concerns from other reviewers where this handle is not safe to use on a NATO rail. Because when it's attached, it's actually pressing on the NATO rail safety pin. Can someone please confirm?

The single review we have found mentioned that in right hand configuration the locking knob touches the camera. There is no mention of what camera. In the time honored tradition of film making we say the answer is to test. Save the packaging and if the handle is not to your satisfaction, you have 30 days to return.
