Will this drive be sufficient to edit 4k video on ...

Will this drive be sufficient to edit 4k video on a 2019 iMac? If I plug the drive into the thunderbolt3 on the iMac I would get usb3.1 data rates correct? Thanks My plan is to buy 2 of these drives for mirroring. I know glyph has a thunderbolt2 raid drive but I would be concerned using the seprate apple adapter would slow down data transfer rates. Thanks for your time!
Asked by: Anthony
The limiting factor on this drive isn’t the connection-rather it’s the 7200 rpm HDD. That maxes out at about 120 mbps. So it will not do a great job with 4K. For 4K editing I would go with SSDs like a Samsung t5 which transfers abt 400 mbps.
