Delivering an unmistakably distinct bokeh quality, the Trioplan 100mm f/2.8 II from Meyer-Optik Gorlitz is an update to and centennial commemoration of a classic vintage optic and is available here for Sony E-mount cameras. Version II of this manual-focus telephoto prime utilizes a revised triplet optical design to produce a distinguished image quality with strong colors and central sharpness, along with improved contrast and higher resolution rendering. Also, fifteen aperture blades further help to produce smooth circular bokeh that is the lens's calling card, dubbed "soap bubble bokeh." Additionally, differing from the classic design of the century-old predecessor, this lens does feature modern coated Schott glass optics for notable contrast and color neutrality when working in strong lighting conditions.

Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Trioplan 100mm f/2.8 II Reviews
Not bad
It's an expensive lens for limited use, but if you like this kind of bubble effect on your photo, you probably will like it.
Nice lens!
This reprint lens has some advantages over the original model. - Shortest shooting distance - No mount adapter required - Low lens distortion (personal impression) And, the bubble bokeh comes out firmly as well as the old one. I like it very much to exclude its price.
As good as expected. Outstanding bokeh.
Very practical lense smaller and ligther than modern AF lenses.
impression from the first sight !
It's true that the legend has returned ! Lens looks very beautiful !
New but defective
Unhappy to receive a defective lens though all other arrangements e.g. shipping, packing and timely delivery are done professionally. Besides, long waiting on getting reply from ur customer service made me decided to send back to manufacture directly to repair. Hope ur future quality control can be improve to ensure customer's interest is well protected.
Beautiful !
It's look very Solid and very beautiful ! The legend is back and more powerful than before !!!
Amazing Lens
Nice lens with nice bubble bokeh. Nice vintage effect. Creates a dreamy world or sceneray. You need to get used to the manual settings and handling (nowadays where everything is automatic) but it works quite fast. Delivery of B&H was very fast even from the US to Switzerland. I can highly recommend the lens and as well B&H.
Love this lens
The lens is still subject to side light and flaring, but NOT direct on sun shots. I am waiting on the other Meyer Optik lenses to come out of production, but this lens better then my vintage version. I love it.
