Will this work well for long (4+ hours) ...

Will this work well for long (4+ hours) continuous multitrack recording on a laptop? I've had overheating issues with other usb flash drives where the recording will stop after a couple of hours.
Asked by: Alex
Flash drives are not really designed for that kind of sustained use. The passive cooling and small surface area are not ideal for heat dissipation for a sustained use as long as 4 hours. My best advice is to get a proper portable SSD drive designed for those types of workflows. Something like the G-Technology 500GB G-DRIVE USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C mobile SSD BH #GT0G06052 would be far more suitable thanks to its Aluminum core which will prevent overheating and maintain high performance in sustained workloads.
