The crank locks into place with a little tab, but it still rotates as it turns. I worry that I'm going to pull it out as I turn. It squeaks a lot. So much it annoyed people in the rest of the house. I put beeswax on it to stop the horrible squeaking, but mostly I'm just using the knob. I think I would return it if I could.

It is very loose

I purchased this crank and was looking for a better handle, but this piece of plastic doesn't lock to the box well, while you supposed to lock the crank by turning it's base 90 degree so the indicating line is horizontal, the base rotate slowly with the handle when cranking, when the line become vertical it will loose and the chemical will leak. I lost a roll because of this, it's better stick with the original knob.
